I was always passionate about engineering. Also CUSAT is always the talk of town . Whether it be academics or cultural or sports , CUSAT has its own edition . For joining CUSAT , there is a entrance examination called CAT . This exam is held in every may and registration starts at March . The exam is similar to other competitive exams , focusing on physics , maths and chemistry .
The curriculum is divided into 4 years , each year has two semesters . In each semester , there would be 6 theory paper and 2 labs . Each theory paper carry 3 credit and labs have 1 . Every year a student has to score at least 10 credits . The faculty here are at least Mtech qualified . and kind of teach well for exam . But the newer scheme has more subjects that are industry related .
I did internships outside college . There is no internship opportunity provided by college. But you can ask the faculty and hod for reference for internships. I did intership at kseb and Indian railways .
The placement is okayish here . Students in safety and fire , computer science and it have more chance in securing placement. Only a few electrical companies come for placement . This year reliance , l and t , tata power , tce , tcs mssqaure were the major companies that recruited students this year .
There are two feet structures followed here . One is for state merit seats which are about Rs 30000 per semester and all india merit seats which are about Rs 48000 . There is no caution or registration fee. For reservation students , the fees are much lower . Tution fees are exempted for a few reservation categories ( not sure which all).
There is always a saying here that in Cusat celebrations never dies . Each and every month ,we have some or other events , big or small. There is a cust arts fest called sargam which is about a 3 -5 days arts fest . Then small events like fresher's , farewell , christmas and other festives are also celebrated . There are many clubs also. Each department has its own club. Electrical department club is EESA . Then there are many technical clubs like SEDS, IEEE , IGBC. Then many project groups like SAE , HORIZON are also there which gives students more practical skills.
I stayed in a privately hostel for 2 years . The hostel is Butterfly hostel . The rent is about 5500 per month with food . Pretty decent hostel with okay okay food . The food is south indian food . Then I moved to university hostel . The rent is about 495 per month . The food costs about 2000-3000 per month. There is a caution for hostel and mess 2000 each .
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that
college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
