I was passionate for fashion designing since childhood. That's when i searched for top colleges for fashion design in India. I came across NIFT and got in. There were three stages to get into nift. First was 2 exams, one is cat and other is gat. Second stage was situation test. And then the last stage was interview.
Course curriculum is good accordingly. Sometimes too hectic but manageable. There is not much industry exposure as there should be in a practical study based field like fashion design. Also faculty is knowledgeable but very Moody. They'll not understand what you're going through and judge you in the basis of how you perform rather than your potential.
I freelanced once for a styling project for a street style wear brand photoshoot. For one day, i was paid 10,000. I just had to style them for the photoshoot and help with the poses and all. If your work is good enough you can freelance too with your studies.
There is a criteria for companies to come for placements in NIFT that is they must offer atleast 9 lacs per annum to employ nift students into their companies. Almost 90-95% of students get their placements through the college only.
Total yearly fees is around 320000, i don't think it's worth it compared to the facilities. They don't take us on field trips. They don't do good mentoring sessions. Basically they just focus on assignments and submissions rather than real life problem solving areas.
Life at campus is not great. The campus is not that big and there are barely a thousand students. So everybody knows everybody and that's why your private life is not private anymore. There are some fests in the starting of new batch but barely any in second half of the batch. Mainly there is only one fest that is spectrum. There are competitions for three days but there is no enjoyment sort of thing for students. It's very boring and plain.
Hostel mess is very nice. They cook all variety of food throughout the week. For example on Monday it's aloo Puri, on Wednesdays there is egg curry and paneer, on Fridays there is chicken and biryani. On Thursdays, we get fruits and South Indian and Punjabi, Gujarati and maharashtrian food menu also.

Average CGPA should be more than 8. Packages providing will be approx 1.5-3.0 LPA. The placement is about 90%. The packages provided are good and satisfactory. After completing this bachelor's degree I would go for masters degree.
No placements are there . The aveeagw placement in the market is about 1.5 to 4.5 lakhs .As compared to the different field the packages for the freshers are very low . But the faculties based on their refrences they give the opportunity.
Plans after course generally comprise of of masters, as there is saturation of jobs in B. Pharm market, and masters help in skill development and making students employable in the industry as well as education.
Good placements after masters and bachelor’s the support is full from the institution and the companies come to collage and interview us and the placement are 90% and above with the good package expecting
All the faculties in the teaching staff are well qualified and give really good guidance for the curriculum and practical knowledge for each and every subject. The faculties also encourage participation in various extra curricular activities to enhance social networking and other skills.
Curriculum is well structured. The faculty members are also very knowledgeable and helpful whenever we need guidance they are always ready to help and exams are taken may times in one sem like we have mid sem 1 and 2 and internal practical and external practical and final end semester exam.
I havent got any job offer or placement from this University because i m a Diploma student but i will definitely try to search by myself for the job opportunities.I would rather handle my home business may be an 9 to 5 Job.
I have selected this course because of placement opportunity. Faculties members are highly qualified and they usually teach using PPT, white board, computer, etc . There is one mid term exam and one gtu exam per semester.
