My honest thoughts about Law College Dehradun, Uttaranchal University

- The campus, the greenery all around which provides peace
- And also there is temple being constructed which will bring more positive energy.
Dislikes
- The restriction on girls hostel and their outing timings
- The food of hostel mess depends from day to day.
Remarks :
Since Law is the first department of this University and has been one of best Law colleges of Dehradun. There were no group discussion, interviews or written test held. I got admission on the basis on my 12th result.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have been always into these judiciary related things and have keen interest in Law. Also the faculty of Law College Dehradun is highly educated and qualified they have vast knowledge about the subjects. The faculty makes everything interesting to understand. Teaching methods differ from professor to professor. But their unique way of teaching makes everything seem easy and simple.
Internships Opportunities :
College do provide letter of recommendation for internship. In first year you can do internship in District Court but later on in High Court and also in Supreme Court. College provides you with the recommendations of Lawyers and Advocates under whom we can practice.
Placement Experience :
Placement Cell is also good. The companies give placement as per the performance of the Student. Off-Campus placements are also great option if you are not happy with the given package. Recently a girl from B.Tech course got a placement in Google from On-Campus Placement.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Per semester fees is 150000, Domicile helps in reducing fees and scholarship too. My fees get reduced my approximately 30000 per semester due to my scholarship. Approx 1500000 is the fees for 5 yrs course. Fees can be raised after each year. My batchmates is from Uttarakhand itself, after attaching Domicile fees reduced by 10000.
Campus Life :
Annual Fest is held every year in the month of April. It is a 3-day fest. This year Neha Kakkar and Rohan Preet Singh came on the last day of fest. Other than that there are 2 cafes and one food court, which also provide hostel delivery to girls hostel. Also the food is good here. There is basket ball court in boys and girls hostel and also one playground where football, cricket and volleyball are played. There are certain societies in each department. There is central library and central computer lab at university level and also each department has their own Library and Computer Lab.
Hostel Facilities :
I am staying in Girls Hostel 3-seater room. The fees of 3-seater in 90000; 2-seater is 100000; and Single seater is 120000. Room is provided with one bed, cupboard and study table with chair for one person each. For the PG's or room, Kehri Gaon is not a safe place as per me. You can go to Nanda Ki Chowki or Sudhowala for PG or rented room.

Placement Experience :
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.

the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
Underrated university for pursuing Management courses
Placement Experience :
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.

I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.

Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.

I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.

Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.

I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
