Good campus life, but not for placements

- The campus life is good. And most faculty are friendly and supportive.
- The infrastructure is good. We have a large playground, basketball court, park etc.
Dislikes
- The academic Curriculum is outdated. It doesn't make you industry ready.
- The placements are becoming less and less year by year.
Remarks :
I choose this college because one of my cousin recommended me and it was the only college had AI&ML course around that time in Mandya. I joined the college through KCET. The KCET cut off was 70,000 for my batch(2021) and now it's around 50,000(2024).
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose AI&ML because "AI is the future" I heard some movies. The faculty here are friendly and supportive (my branch). Some are knowledgeable and some are not but it's ok because, engineering is a course where you're not entirely dependent on lectures. I like how the curriculum has a mix of theory and practical applications, though I feel it could include more hands-on projects to make it even better. The exams are conducted on time, and the difficulty level is manageable if you study one day before. Overall, it’s a course where self-learning plays a big role, and that’s something I’ve grown to enjoy.
Internships Opportunities :
The college does not provide any internship opportunities . They will send some internship links, there won't be any collaboration or anything it all depends on student whether he/she is selected or not.
Placement Experience :
The placements are not bad. Some companies will come but don't expect them to hire in mass. They will recruit only few people. Some of them won't hire anyone. And some of the job roles will be not related to engineering only. Companies came till now are NTT data, ms accolite, code young, Accenture. To conclude Companies will come, it all depends on how skilled you are.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
As for me I'm paying 90,281 (KCET fees) yearly and there's no other fees .And the fees is 1,50,000 (management quota) for our batch students. But that's not the same for our juniors, the KCET fees is around 1 lakh and extra fees upto 30000 (building fees, lab fees etc) . And management quota seats cost 2.5 lakhs.
Campus Life :
The campus life is pretty good. There will college fest called "Prajwalana" at starting of even semester every year. And we celebrate ganesha fest every year grandly. And there will be hackathons and ideathons very often. And there will be sports tournaments every semester which will be conducted by university and most of by students itself. There are college clubs(like coding,cultural etc) which will be active occasionally. And library has all the books related to academics.
Hostel Facilities :
I stayed in the college hostel. The hostel building is good and the food is sometimes good sometimes ok sometimes bad. The menu will consist of idli, dosa, chapati, rice sambar, curd rice, rice baath etc. And there will be nonveg on every weekends. The rooms are good not congested.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
BSc Physics at Jain University
Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

Placement Experience :
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
