Remarks :
factors that made me choose gitam are reputation, infrastructure, clubs, extraculicullar activities etc. The good aspects of gitam is the well maintained infrastrucutre, quality teaches, various clubs and canteens etc and the bad aspects are the lack of communication skills among various professors. The admission process involves writing the GAT exam with an interview round.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bba fm as i wanted to expand my learning about finance which was done during my intermediate studies. The faculties are qualified with phds, doctorate etc being publishers, having partnership with various outside firms. Exams are conducted after every 3 months (mid-exam) and the final exam after 6 months ( sem-end exam). The difficulty level is very low and previous exam question papers have the same pattern and repeated questions.
Internships Opportunities :
Interships are available via the hospitatlity, NCC and student life boards, however it is only feasible for hostellers and we get a certificate after completion. The internship lasts upto 1 year with stipend and certificate.
Placement Experience :
Around 80-99% eligible students get placements here. Visited recruiters are amazon, wipro, infosys etc. Eligibilty criteria is from 6.6 cgpa with no active backlogs. The average package is from 3.5 to 6 lakhs per annum.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
i had a scholarship of 15% which i got through the gat entrance exam so my 1st sem fee was 83585 and 2nd sem fee was 79570 and the 3rd sem fee was 115270 and 4th sem fee being 172000. There are no other compulsory fees during the admission, however if you are opting for bus you'll have to pay 200/- extra apart from the bus fee. Available scholarships are alumni, gat exam, army background,caste etc.
Campus Life :
The campus is very huge giving the opportunity for students to have a great social life. There are many events conducted every month based on the festival such as diwali event, eid event and other events based on the clubs. The main yearly event is called pramana which is a 3 day event with various bands, celebrities, food stalls etc. There are also sport events conducted annually as well as monthly.

The campus placements are good and there are companies coming in every year for fresh talent but it all comes down to our talent. We are provided with an opportunity but we have to work for it ourselves.

Students who maintain a good academic record and possess strong technical and communication skills have better chances of getting placed. Generally, students with no active backlogs and a minimum academic percentage as specified by the recruiting company are eligible to participate in campus placements. A few recruiters visit the college for hiring, mainly for entry-level roles in software, IT support, and core engineering domains. However, the number of offers is limited, and only around 40–50% of students secure campus placements. The average salary package offered ranges from ?3–4 LPA, while the highest package varies depending on the company and the student's performance. The college also encourages students to apply for paid internships, which help them gain practical industry experience and improve their technical skills

I am still in my second year, so I havent sat for placements yet. But the college starts preparing us early with coding practice, projects, aptitude training, resume building sessions, and mock interviews. FRom interacting with seniors, I have heard that students who stay consistent with their skills get good opportunities

From what I have experienced the college starts preparing us for placements much earlier than I expected. We regularly have coding practice, project work, resume reviews, aptitude sessions and mock interviews, so you are improving little by little instead of waiting for the final year. The college also shares internship and job opportunities with students. I feel the support is definitely there but your results depend on how much effort you put into building your skills.

As a current student I haven't reached the final placement season yet but the college has already started preparing us. We get regular updates about internship opportunities, and many students apply from the early semester itself. Along with that there are sessions on resume writing, aptitude, communication skills and interview preparation. The college also encourages us to build projects and improve our technical skills, which helps while applying for internships. I feel these small efforts throughout the course will make a big difference when placements begun.
