I wanted to learn Animation, Vfx, etc. so I searched colleges that teach it and then I found Dy Patil. There were no Tests/interview for admission, they just take students based on 12th marks. The admission can also be done online through their website, you don't need to visit the college.
The course has a lot of potential to explore, but in my opinion it's not explored till it's capacity by the faculty. We have 2 exams in the period of 6 months. (one semester) 1. College Exam 2. University Exam
This is a three year course, and the fee is 87k for first year, then it decreases a bit every year. There's no scholarship for OBC but if you're SC, ST, then you can get a scholarship by filling the MAHADBT form
This is the part where i wish I had a different college. There are very less events/clubs, etc. And the events that are conducted are mostly handled by the facilities, there's no room for the students to organise a fest or an event. The library & classrooms are good but could've been better.
I haven't opted for an hostel so I have no idea about it but there are a lot of private hostels/ pgs around the college. The private hostels and pgs would cost you around 50,000 per year for staying, the food would cost around the same person year. so in total you would need 1 lakh per year for stay and food
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
