We did have an interview, followed by an aptitude exam. The course throughout has been well structured and I personally have not faced any difficulties or challenges. The admissions process was quite straightforward as you need to register on the CII site. The rest was taken care by the spectacular admissions team at the CII Gurgaon. In terms of preparation, I personally asked a lot of people on linked in and read articles as to how life is joining the hospitality industry. Obviously having the exposure from my early years worked abroad with the hotel had given me an upper hand in clearing the aptitude exam.
As I have enrolled in the first batch, being the pilot batch for the Grand Hyatt Gurgaon and CII. The faculty has been immensely supportive throughout, the exam schedules have been spot on in terms of timings.
We are training with The Grand Hyatt Gurgaon for the entire course, as an on job trainee. Which is quite helpful in paving the grounds to gain effective job level training in live kitchen and hotel environment.
The eligibility for a placement is the successful completion of the program. As I am still pursuing the course, I haven’t looked for any job opportunities. As I have travelled a lot before starting the course I have gained prior experience in the hospitality sector working for international hotel chains around Australia for about 5-6years, I plan to head back there or Europe for future opportunities.
4,50,000 INR , inclusive of all is the fees for students willing to join the culinary program. Approximately 4,15,000 INR is the fees for the students willing to join the Food and Beverage service program. On-site kitchen kits for chef are available at no extra costs. However, it is always great to own a kit of your own. Uniforms are provided at the hotel as part of the program and are included in the fees. Based on the aptitude test a decent scholarship is also offered.
As the course is in association with the Ecole Hotel Lausanne (EHL). Hence, the course outline and the curriculum is Swiss based collaborated with CII. We’ve had the opportunity to visit heritage spice market Khari Baoli as part of the research activity for our programme.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
