- The flexibility to design your course along with the timetable and choose the professors you want to study under.
- The campus is a good place to have a walk in the night. The students are competitive that compel you to push further. The overall culture boosts your personality development and growth.
Dislikes
- It is in outskirts of the city so you are a bit disconnected from the main city.
- It's quite expensive for a middle-class person and so increases the pressure on you during placement season.
Remarks :
The startup culture of this college is really good which provides incubation and networking opportunities. Also, the cirriculum facilitates overall personality development. The placement here is as good as the top IITs.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The fact that the cirriculum is inspired from MIT, and it gives you the freedom to choose your courses and allow you to take minors open more opportunities for you. Also, most of the books used here are written by BITS professors that make it more original.
Internships Opportunities :
Not yet but I'll have my PS-I after the end of my second year that will last for 2 months. In the third year companies come for summer internship. Companies like Nvidia, Google, MorganChase, Microsoft but you need to be highly skilled.
Placement Experience :
The placements are really good considering the recent recession that was there. For CS/ECE, the median is near 22-23L. and the overall median is a bit less than 20L. The top recruiters were Nvidia, Amazon.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The college charged 2,45,000 tuition fees for the first semester of 2024-2025 with 5% increase every year. Besides there is 50000 semester fees for Hostel+Mess+Other charges that remains constant as of now. If you are getting admitted for the first year, you have to pay admission fees of 50k+. If you are a dual degree student, in your second year, you need to pay that admission fee again to get your B.E course. Besides these, you have two compulsory interships that are part of the course, PS-I and PS-II that charge around 85k and 90k each. If you are planning to do minors, you need to pay around 20k per semester.
Campus Life :
The campus is large, with inbuilt facilities like Gym, Lounge, and other necessary things like barber, statationery and different vendors like Nescafe, Yumpies, Maggie Hotspot. The hostels have vending machines that are working most of the time. There is a waterfall inside the campus. The auditorium is the largest across any engineering college in India. The library is also really big with study ambience. The wifi has a bit issue to reach in hostels but the LAN provides internet speed of upto 1000Mbps
Hostel Facilities :
In the first year, you are alloted double room. For the second year, you have a choice to choose 1 of 2 hostels(single rooms or double rooms, mostly people choose double rooms). From third year on, everyone is alloted single rooms. The first and second year hostels are new ones, that's why better maintained. The other hostels are old but still decent enough. There are 2 mess, Mess 1 and Mess 2. Mess 1 is bigger and subjectively better since it's closer to most hostels and academic block. The menu incorporates both north and south indian food on a daily basis. We have Biryani on Sunday because of Hyderabad and it's really good. Overall I'll rate the menu 8/10 and food 7.5/10

Placements and Internships The placement opportunities at my college are average, with a limited number of companies visiting the campus every year. Students who maintain a good academic record and possess strong technical and communication skills have better chances of getting placed. Generally, students with no active backlogs and a minimum academic percentage as specified by the recruiting company are eligible to participate in campus placements. A few recruiters visit the college for hiring, mainly for entry-level roles in software, IT support, and core engineering domains. However, the number of offers is limited, and only around 40–50% of students secure campus placements. The average salary package offered ranges from ?3–4 LPA, while the highest package varies depending on the company and the student's performance. The college also encourages students to apply for paid internships, which help them gain practical industry experience and improve their technical skills

I am still in my second year, so I havent sat for placements yet. But the college starts preparing us early with coding practice, projects, aptitude training, resume building sessions, and mock interviews. FRom interacting with seniors, I have heard that students who stay consistent with their skills get good opportunities

I feel the support is there throughout the journey, the more effort you put in, the more you can benefit from these opportunities.

From what I have experienced the college starts preparing us for placements much earlier than I expected. We regularly have coding practice, project work, resume reviews, aptitude sessions and mock interviews, so you are improving little by little instead of waiting for the final year. The college also shares internship and job opportunities with students. I feel the support is definitely there but your results depend on how much effort you put into building your skills.

As a current student I haven't reached the final placement season yet but the college has already started preparing us. We get regular updates about internship opportunities, and many students apply from the early semester itself. Along with that there are sessions on resume writing, aptitude, communication skills and interview preparation. The college also encourages us to build projects and improve our technical skills, which helps while applying for internships. I feel these small efforts throughout the course will make a big difference when placements begun.
