Likes
- The campus is very spacious and green. It's open and good for spending outside. Cafeteria is good.
- The library is big with books on all courses and AC are installed.
Dislikes
- The college wifi never works. If you are inside the campus your phone will not work.
- The elevator of the college is always not working. We have to walk to 4th floor for classes.
Remarks :
The admission to the college happens through CUET exams. As the college is under Delhi University you have score under the cut-off range set by the college to get admission here. After scoring in mentioned cutoff range if you are selected then you have to come for documents verification and if things are right yoh get admission. There is no GD or PI.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Economics honors is a well reputed course and a very famous course of DU. Also it ooe s your path for many things to pursue specially in finance or planning or consulting. The college faculty of economics are known for their smart work and active environment. The professors are available whenever needed. However some teachers are not very active in their work. They have less knowledge of teaching the students which is a drawback. Mostly we have to rely on other sources of studying,
Internships Opportunities :
The internship opportunities are very limited in the college. Students are on their own. Teachers usually suggest us to work here and there otherwise there is no perfect college internship thing on college. I looked for internship on my own in Younity.
Placement Experience :
The college placement cell is lacking resources and there is no active placement in college. The student themselves has to look for the jobs and internship and even companies that come are limited to Wipro And Amazon. The salary offered is also not more that 3-4 lakhs p.a.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Per year cost will be around 10000/-. The cost of books and copies are not included in it. However, college provides financial assistance to those in need. Scholarship application has to be filled and documents of income of the family has be be submitted for verification and then the scholarship amount is received.
Campus Life :
The college campus is lush green filled with aroma of seasonal flowers. The whole campus is clean and proper. Every year Srijan Fest is organized in the college in March. Alongside this various other types of events are organized on daily basis. Sometimes different departments organize events respective of their course. The college grounds have proper sports area. Indoor and outdoor gyms. Numerous societies are there in college. The most famous of it is Navrang. There is society of every activities like singing, dancing, writing etc.
Hostel Facilities :
The college does not have hostel in its campus so students from different states have to look for PGs. The nearest pg are in Shivaji park. The cost of living is the real burdwn for students here as pgs are very expensive and if you do manage to get a cheaper pg the food quality will be worse.

The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
Maitreyi college is so underrated

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
