Likes
- The campus is great. The faculty is also good.
- A department also comprises of DRs hours and executive DRs, which are elected with elections, which is great environment to enjoy. The university also has a student council for which elections are held, the election period is great to enjoy and to experience for.
Dislikes
- The dept washrooms are not properly maintained. There should be more class discussions.
- There should be more internship and job opportunities.
Remarks :
After NLU’s other than private universities everyone prefers a Government university and Panjab University is one such university. Yes one has to give entrance exam. Moreover UILS is the department for 5 year law course and Masters. I took entrance coaching also. In Panjab university your 12th board exams too matter.
Course Curriculum Overview :
It is a very good course. I choose this course because if we go for BA that is bachelors of arts and then pursue law, it will take six years but going for an integrated five year, BALLB course is for 5 years only
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, there is also a committee for internships which regularly updates students about taking an internship, but there is also provision that final year student has to do a compulsory internship for which he is given marks.
Placement Experience :
Yes, there is a committee which usually updates students about different placements. But I don’t think so that committee is too active and successful to provide jobs and placements. Students have to put more effort.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Our per semester fee is around ?40,000-?50,000 and once in a year we have to give director fund which is around ?9300. Fees is given per semester wise, not yearly. Examination fee is also taken separately by the dept.
Campus Life :
The campus life in universities Institute of legal studies that is UILS in Punjab University is great. There are many committees in our department which include moot court committee, ADR committee, sports committee, quiz committees etc. The department shows that every extra Co-curricular activity is also included. in final year, our department also gives us an opportunity to go for internships in various High courts or district courts and also helps us to prepare for moot Court, competitions, ADR competitions that is mediation every year, a sports competitions are also held, fest are also held which ensure that participation of each student is there. Moreover, it is compulsory for final year students to engage in Nukkar Natak, which is a great thing. There is a student centre which is known as stuc in our university, which is the most famous spot.
Hostel Facilities :
I don’t live in hostel, but my friends do. But I do visit them so I can give you a small idea. There are some newly built hostels which are great for accommodation. There is also an international hostel which has a lot more facilities than a normal hostel. The food of all the hostels is great. It’s very yummy and very satisfied.

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

Placement and job opportunity is good because in civil engineering placement are good this college is better than many government college if no campus placement is offered than I prep for government exam connected to engineering like ies and many other best engineering government job

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
