The main factors I chose Symbiosis college of Arts and Commerce is because the people here are very cosmopolitan and because Symbiosis is affiliated with Pune University (so we get 2 certificates after graduation). Not to mention the top-class education staff that is present here. The hostel has all amenities like wifi, food, etc. I also chose Symbiosis because two of my family members studied here before. Lastly, the reputation of Symbiosis is very good across the world.
The courses present here are mainly Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce. Both have their internal fields to choose from. A new student has to apply for a course before enrollment. The course I chose was B.Com with ACCA , I chose this course because 7 papers of ACCA is excluded due to the college's affinity with Pune University. The faculty in symbiosis are all reliable and can perform their tasks very well. The teaching method is done inside classrooms with an electronic white board. The term exams are always on time with one semester lasting for 4 months, the exams take place on the 4th month of the terms. Speaking of difficulty, it depends on the course and the student's diligence and performance.
Personally, I haven't opted for an internship yet, due to my backlogs. But regarding internships, the college is very good for placement. Alumni and multiple companies needing skilled personnel visit us yearly and the student's with the best grade and best attitude get chosen.
Our college offers placements to all students every term. But one needs to have no backlogs and 70% attendance to be placed. My plans after getting the degree is to return back home and help with my family business and maybe do business or further studies.
The total fee for a year (which is 2 semester terms) will be around 4,00,000 and a little bit higher for NRI students. If the student wants to stay in the hostel then he/she will have to pay an additional 4,00,000 for the full year. This additional payment includes the amenities of hostel accommodation and message fees. The student, once enrolled, will get a 50,000 health insurance, which is printed in his/her identity card.
The main festival in this college is named SYMAGINE. It usually takes place once a year. It's a festival which includes a live performance show, food stands and disco. There are numerous other extracurricular activities and events that take place here every month. About the library, it contains all books necessary for all the courses that are present in the college. Maybe a few fantasy novels here and there too. All the classrooms have fans, lights and a smartboard. It's also clean and airy. The campus also has a sports club, with various sports like football, basketball, table tennis, boxing, etc. A few social groups run by students themselves are The Hindi Cultural Group and Finance Club. There are more too.
The fees for the mess is compulsory if a student opts to stay in the hostel. Annually the fees amount to around 4,00,000. The food in the mess is hygienic and healthy. To register for the hostel, a student must contact the head office of the college.

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed

Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
