Good aspects: 1.Anti ragging cell 2.Innovation cell that provides to discuss ideas and help to execute. 3. focuses on co curricular and extracurricular activites Bad aspects: 1.focuses mainly on software.As I am mechanical ,we are not getting more attention. 2.less placement opportunities for core branches like civil and mechanical. There is no such GD/PI for the admission processes.Based on EAPCET/ECET ranks,seats will be allocated to the students for admission.
Course Curriculum Overview :
As I am more interested in mechanical related fields from my 10th class,I joined Diploma in Mechanical engineering through polycet.Later I wrote ECET and I got seat here in this college. Most of the faculty teaching in his college or mtech degree holders and around 3240 professors are holding PH.D degrees. The teaching by the teachers is very good that they teach in a very practical and application oriented way. As one year contains two semester and one semester is around 4 to 5 months.lastly exams are going to be conducted both theoretical and practical exams.The difficulty level of the exams is moderate.They set the paper based on low level students learning.The results will declare in 15 days once the exams are completed.Easily get passed in the examinations.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes I am currently working on my internship.Our college offers more internship opportunities.Like for mechanical employability internships provided are like NDT,HVAC,TVS,and assistance to industrial internships based on our skills.The stipend is around 15K.Along with this,virtual internships are assisted linked with APSCHE to offer internships by companies like skilldezire,smartinternz,bist technologies etc.for 4-6 months. Community Service Project: We group of 5 members worked on Plastic Waste management in a village. We surveyed around a village on how the engineering equipment used in collecting plastics and create awareness on how to reuse,recycle and other alternative methods. Main project:
Placement Experience :
Training and placement office offers more opportunities conducting special events,programmes company meetup HR gatherings etc.But most of the opportunities on software bcoz of this it era.The eligibility for most of the placements is students with no backlogs. Companies like Amazon,Flipkart,Infosys,congizant,Accenture,people tech,Capgemini Dmart and more startup companies will recruit the students with 20-30 offerings for small companies and 8-10 offerings by medium based companies and 2-3 by large companies.The highest package till now is 32 lakhs who got placed in Amazon and the average package as per the company and profiles offered will be around 2.4L per annum. From CSE and related sub-branches,the percentage of students get placed will be around 30%- 40%(don't know about off campus placement .After my graduation I will prepare for competitive exams related to my domain.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
GEC college is an autonomous college which is permanently affiliated to JNTUK.I am getting government fees reimbursement which is 65000 for one year.The additional fees for buliding fund is 5000 per year.There is no any other fees like lab fee,exam fee etc.All categories have to pay the same fee.The management seat for Cse and sub-branches is around 2L per year.Othwr scholarships are being provided based on students merit,if possible.
Campus Life :
Our college inside and outside is very neat and clean. We have annual day first which is conducted every year in the February month. Branche fests conducted every year after allocating 1st year students. We have a central library which is 2 floors,in which most books are available and journals are available for research.For a student,4 books will be used for 15 days to take home with us to read and return after 15 days. We have physical education department which conducts most games like kho-kho,Kabaddi, long jump, running, cricket,table tennis.NSS is available in the college which conducts several activities like band activities,cleaning,social welfare activities.Last year,college added NCC as extracurricular activity. Our college contains different groups or clubs like lions club and MEA for mechanical,ESCON for EEE.Different clubs are available for different branches,in which no of activities are conducted. Ecap GEC is the college website.
Hostel Facilities :
When I joined in the college,I opted the hostel for 1 year.It is located nearly 800m to the college.It is placed with fields around it.No traffic and pollution.we can get fresh air.Coming to food,there is a proper menu for the daily basis.Food is good with unlimited.Like on some days 2-3 days,food is so average.Next coming rooms,see the attached pics of the rooms in the above,rooms are excellent with wifi facility and 24 hrs electricity. Registration process for hostels: Applications are to filled in the Advisior to Mangement room and need to pay around 15k per semester.And monthly mess fee is 3100.Additionally 10k need to be paid,half of the amount will be given back after completion of the graduation. If not opting for hostels,there are lot of the rooms available with low prices in the college premises.

Those students who are in 5th semister are eligible for campus placements. Around 70-80% students are placed every year in top reputed companies with decent salary. I received placement offer from TCS . That was because of placement cell of Ashoka.

The campus placement is really good . Most of the students get placed in small or big company at last the moto is to have a job not focusing on salary where the salary does not matter. above 75% is the eligibility to sit in the campus placement drive if the company give their eligibility criteria or else no.

Considering current job market the Placements and job opportunities are satisfactory with mass hiring companies such as Accenture, Infosys and Capgemini being the highest bulk recruiting service based companies where 20-30 students get placed out of a class of strength 70, students are asked to register in their Third year for placements , The eligibility criteria is to not have any active backlogs and ready with structured resume though students are filtered with their CGPA , they will be rounds of aptitude and problem solving and having good DSA background will help a lot . The Highest packages is from Infosys which give 16+ LPA to students with advanced DSA knowledge but majority are placed between 4.5 - 6 LPA . Many students opt for higher studies by preparing for competitive exams or use their strong alumni network to get referrals are big Tech companies.

The average annual hostel fee is around Rs. 48,000 per student (or roughly Rs. 3,000 - 4,000 per month.The campus offers separate hostels for boys and girls with furnished rooms. Students note that the rooms are kept tidy, well-lit, and offer options for both single and shared occupancy.

In my college,the highest package is 35lpa and lowest package is 2lpa. Many companies was visited to my college for placement like tech Mahindra, Infosys, auto desk. Coming to the placements, their was many competition to get the offer.
Good infrastructure but needs better faculty.

Students with cgpa greater than 9 are considered first for placements indirectly. They will get more companies. And there will be bulk hiring for most of the students. TCS , Cognizant etc will come . And I feel the placement training team CRCS will train the students mainly competitive programming . Because they focus more on this .Also they will teach you each and everything ranging from how to write the recruitment exam to how to attend the HR interview. Even if you want to go for higher studies, they will guide you through it. The average package is around 10 LPA. And the highest is 50 LPA. Most of the students are placed through the University placements itself.

Students generally are eligible for placements after completion of 3rd year. Top companies like amazon, Accenture, Infosys, paypal, TCS, etc offered placements last year with offers in range of 5-15 . Highest package is 44 LPA and average package is 9 LPA. Percentage of students placed is in the range of 70%-80%. I am planning to prepare for Bank exams after completion of graduation.

Job opportunities are countless for the students who are skilled. Both software and core jobs placements can be observerved in a wide range. Many multi national companies like deloitte, infosys, snovasys, TCS, Accenture are tied up with the campus for conducting drives.
