- Campus Environment: The campus has a peaceful and conducive learning environment, with well-maintained facilities. I particularly enjoyed the availability of study resources, including libraries and online portals.
- Academic Excellence: The college offers a robust curriculum and is known for maintaining high academic standards. I found the professors to be supportive and knowledgeable, ensuring we understood the concepts thoroughly.
Dislikes
- Limited Infrastructure: Some of the facilities, like the sports grounds and certain classrooms, could be upgraded. The limited resources sometimes hindered a fully interactive learning experience
- Administrative Delays: The college administration had occasional delays in processing paperwork, especially during registration or fee submission periods, which caused frustration among students.
Remarks :
Being a part of Ranchi University, SSMC benefits from the university’s established reputation in academics and researchThe wide variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in fields such as Arts, Science, Commerce, Business, and IT might appeal to students with diverse academic interests. Quality teaching staff and an emphasis on providing a good learning environment can influence the decision to enroll. Being situated in Ranchi, the college may also be convenient for local students or those from nearby regions. Some courses may require a written entrance exam to assess the candidates’ academic skills. For certain programs like Business Administration or Management, a GD may be a part of the selection process.
Course Curriculum Overview :
As I belong to the science stream due to my keen interest in finance and accounting I choose the commerce field for the graduation which opens up many scopes in my career as I wanted to do financial accounting services and other courses like CA/CMA/CS/CFA/MBA etc. The students to the teacher ratio are quite good. The teachers are knowledgeable and experienced.There are almost 3 teachers in the commerce department who are highly qualified. Faculty - they are very well qualified and experienced but they don't take regular classes which is the negative part of this college also. Semester exams are held after every 6 months of duration 2 semesters in a year. The semester exam is not that though but you have to study each and every portion of the syllabus as questions is set by the faculties outside of college. Passing percentage is also good
Internships Opportunities :
No I haven't opted for any opportunities for internship as I was preparing for CA course in which I have to do 3 years of internship at a CA firm. Companies like HCL , TCs etc. come to take students for giving training for betterment of settlement.
Placement Experience :
The job placement program is for the students this program is conducted in a grand day and many companies came for class for placements campus the average packages around 2 lakh to 3 lakh every aspect so required for placement selection. Placements & Job opportunities are one of the best in Ranchi, but I prepared to join CA courses and i prepared for that. But in case of placement some companies who came for campus are wipro, tcs, hcl.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure is good. They didn't charge a high fee. You have to pay a yearly fee around 1100rs -2200rs for girls and boys respectively and other than that you have to pay an examination fee every semester which is around 600rs. Yes, the college provides scholarships like - e-Kalyan for the students belonging to st/sc/obc and now even for ews ( economically weaker section ).
Campus Life :
The campus generally fosters a friendly and supportive atmosphere . The college likely organizes cultural festivals, competitions, and annual events where students can showcase their talents in dance, music, drama, and art but I have only seen these functions once or twice in the 3 years of my degree. The college is expected to have a spacious and well-stocked library with books, journals, and online resources that support the academic curriculum but there is not any cafeteria or any Laboratory for science students But there is a fax and printer shop inside the campus.
Hostel Facilities :
I didn't opt for hostels as I live with my relatives. But I have listened from my friends that there is good facilities at the hostel regarding food and rooms But sometimes more than 2 people had to share the room . Wifi facilities is also provided for betterment of students.

Placements are the main reason people come here. For Electrical, big players like Tata Steel, JSW, and Vedanta are regulars. The average package stays around ?7–8 LPA, while the highest can go up to ?15–20 LPA for core branches. You become eligible for placements from the 7th semester. I’m planning to sit for GATE as well, as many seniors here aim for PSUs. For internships, the college helps with vocational training in places like DVC or HURL, though paid internships are something you usually have to hunt for yourself on LinkedIn.
Average University in Jamshedpur in low fee

You have to at least maintain 7CGA for sitting in placement season company like Wipro Infosys come here placement season. Average package of BBA is 4.5 lakhs. Almost 80% Student are placed through campus placement. My plan after getting degree pursuing MBA
My Dream College
Placement Experience :
College give only about 30% placement and there is very few companies or hospitals which are visited to the college for the employees. You have to do it with yourself when you are go to the internship. The highest and average package as I see is about 30,000 per month and maximum to 50,000 per month And I saw that student who top is maximum getting chance for the placement which is rare .
Netaji Subhas University is best for engineering in low fee and for who is already doing job

You have to not active backlog in any subject. 8+ cgpa perefer first then below 8+. Eternal achievers, infinite solution, paul tech like local jamshedpur it company visit for placement. 80% students placed from our university. I will look for higher education.

I don't have any specific information about placements because I am still studying, but some seniors have got jobs which tells me that everything is fine. There are some seniors who work in Tata Motors and DRDO with good payments.

The intern is provided for training in nearby schools in 3rd semester. It is unpaid internship basically done under the curriculum.It is compulsory for the students to complete this teacher's training to get the B.ed degree. There is no such placement opportunities You have to go off campus to get placed in any school.

There is no campus placement in this college, so we have to plan our own jobs or internships after completing the course. Eligibility criteria for jobs depends on companies, mostly they ask for basic knowledge and skills related to the course. Some students do internships on their own in local companies or online. Since there is no official placement, there are no recruiters, packages or offers from college. Around 0% students get placement from college itself. My plan after degree is to prepare for government jobs and also apply for some private jobs related to my field. Overall, college is good for learning, but for placements you have to work on your own

"Placements in my college are slowly improving but still not at the level of top engineering colleges. Some companies visit every year but the number of offers is limited. Students who have good skills and prepare on their own get opportunities easily. The eligibility for sitting in placements is usually 6.0 CGPA and no major backlogs. Recruiters like small IT companies, training firms and a few core-related companies have visited. The highest package was around 6–7 LPA and the average stays near 3 LPA depending on the branch. Around 25–35% students get placed from campus and others go for off-campus drives. Internships are mostly arranged by students themselves through online platforms. After completing my degree, I plan to prepare for off-campus jobs and also improve my technical skills to get a better job in company or in government job
Expensive college with mediocre placements
Placement Experience :
Placements are mediocre in my branch ece. Last year 60-70 percent students are placed. Average package is 13lpa approx and highest in my branch was 58lpa. Core companies like NXP come for placement. Tech companies like foipkart, meesho, visa, goldman sachs come for placement.
