Review on Post Graduate Government College For Girls, Sector 11
Remarks :
The admissions were on the basis of Class 12th marks and a merit list for all the applicants was made. The students who were on the merit list were then enrolled into the college. What made me choose this college was the fact that my mother is an alumni of this college and she had some positive feedback about it.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculties are top notch here. The teachers and the supporting staff are excellent and quite helpful. The curriculum is creatively designed to help students build skills for their future careers and jobs.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The college follows a semester system and the fee is to be submitted at the start of every semester. The semester is 12500 approximately. However there is an additional fees for the students who reside in hostel and an extra mess fees which includes all three meals and snacks. Many scholarships are available for reserved categories and economically weaker sections. For registration only a fee of 800 was to be paid.
Campus Life :
Campus is quite beautiful with greenery all around, there is an open gym and various sports courts for the students to indulge in activities. The infrastructure needs a little improvement, however there are repairs on the way.
Hostel Facilities :
The canteen food is amazing and that too at an affordable rate. The staff is kind and respectful. Hostels are provided on merit bases and reservations. However, there are many PGs and rooms available for rent near the college.

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
