- Placements are good. I Mean not best comparable to IITs but far better than many private and other tier 3 govt engineering colleges like UIT RGPV, SATI Indore, MITs gwalior etc.
- Professors are lineant and understanding. and supportive too.
Dislikes
- I don't like about the situation of hostel. Hostel should be cleaned properly and other facilities should also be there. And problem of water should be solved as sometimes especially in summers water problems are there.
- One con is that there are no sports facilities. Atleast college should have some sport facilities and playing grounds.
- There are many less fests and events conducted in college.
Remarks :
There was not any group discussion, interviews or written test. Only JEE Mains rank and score is required for admission. Admission process is simple and seamless. When you get jee mains result then after one month DTE MP counselling starts after JEE Advanced. Simply fill all your details and fill preferences in counselling. If you get this college in any round according to your category and rank you get 4-5 days to confirm your seat. So come in college with all the documents, pay 1st semester fees, and hola, your admission is done. That's it. I chose this college because it is a govt. college and also one of best other than SGSITS and MANIT. It has good placements but this year it was down.. And I was getting this college in my rank eligibility or ECE in SGSITS. I chose this over as I was getting here IT branch.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because of my interest. Faculties are very qualified and experienced and teaching method is okk. Some faculties you will like studying from them and some you would try to skip class. there were no attendance issues in my 1st year but now attendance is strict you need to maintain atleast 70% overall otherwise you will get detained. Exams happen on time always and they are of moderate level.
Internships Opportunities :
No not opted for internship yet. Internships are offered to students in 2nd year 3rd year. Companies like Deutsche bank, accenture , barclays and credit suisse come for internships for summer season for 3rd year students.
Placement Experience :
Placements are good. Companies like Deutsche bank, mastercard, credit suisse, beghou, ZS associates, car wale, cars 24, infosys, accenture, barclays, NRI fintech, Zignex, groww, Zscaler, VMware, Avalara etc come for campus placements. 70-80% students get placed every year. Highest offered by Zscaler was 28 lakhs and average is 6-7 lakhs. Eligibility criteria is that you must have cgpa above 7.5 with no active backlogs and relevant skills according to company requriements. You can also apply for off campus. there are many seniors of mine who have secured placements in Google, microsoft, adobe, Amazon, walmart, VMware, Atlassian . Highest package offered was 45 lakhs by google this year. My plans is to get placements after the degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is every sem fee of Rs. 42900 which is total Rs. 85800 yearly.. there is also endsem exam fees paid at end of every sem which is Rs. 2790 per sem so combining sem fee and exam fee total yearly is Rs.90000 approx. ( in this Rs.40 per transaction portal charges is also included as fees are paid online by Mponline website) For first year also everything is same plus Rs. 4000 as caution money is also to be paid in 1st year Fee structure is same for all batchmates, all branches, all years and also for all category whether SC, ST, OBC or general. MMVY scholarship is available for students in this all the fees including exam fees is covered. For this you need to have under 1.5lakh rank in JEE, more than 85% in CBSE (75% in MP board) and annual family income below 6 lakhs. And post matric scholarship is specifically for SC, ST and OBC students and here also all fees including exam fees is covered. For this you need to have income below 6 lakh and you are eligible.
Campus Life :
Campus life is boring here. There are less events here as compared to other colleges. Aakshank which is the cultural fest of IET was last happened in 2019. Now it's 2025 still nothing. E summit and other sessions are conducted by E cell IET and festival celebrations are also there. There is only function on Engineers Day that's all. Books are easily available in college library you can even issue them for whole semester then after completion of sem you need to return otherwise penalty is charged. Amenitites are there in classroom. Proper benches, whiteboards and projectors. Labs are well equipped with computers and other things or instruments respectively. There are no sports facilities in campus this is another con you can access the sports facilities of University campus by college ID card. And there are sports competitions conducted in University campus you can participate. About clubs there is Ecell, GDSC, Robotronics, NSS, EWB, Goonj (music club), Pratyaksh ( acting club).
Hostel Facilities :
I opted for a hostel. Infrasturcture is ok. You get almirah, table, bed and chair. there is always electricity. there are 2 LAN ports in every room for high speed internet (upto 300-500MB/s) and wifi is also there. Bathrooms are okk. cleaned on alternate days. Proper cleaning is not done in hostel everyday we need to report to check timely. And one issue also is that water crisis come sometimes Water is available in morning from 8am to 2pm then 6pm to 10pm. Drinking water is also there. There is one water cooler with purifier in the ground floor of hostel. Fridge, common kitchen, washing machine is also not here. Geysers are there for hot water. If you want to use cooler in summer you need to pay extra 1000 for electricity for summer season. mess fess is Rs. 2500 per month you get lunch dinner except sunday evening is off. And no breakfast is provided. Food quality is ok, checkings are done timely. and review is taken from students. but you cannot expect more variety in food.

Placement and job opportunity is good in this college around 60% placed before start of 7th semester and 90% placed till end of 8th semester. Various company like Amazon , tcs , infosys , etc visit the campus. Highest package till now is 44 lpa and average is 6.5 lpa
Life at School Of Commerce, Devi Ahilya University

The placement is quite quite good as year on years recently the placement was goes 57LPA to 75LPA and teh avg was 7-8LPA and median is 10LPA something. The college have 100% placement record every year and they also give grants and loans for students who wants to startup. But the internship support is zero like college are only focused on placement they are not foucing on internship.

I would like to say there are more job openings and internship programmes we had than a private college for both Graduates and Masters students. job openings in TCS/ banks and industries too. The thing is you need to put effort to grab a good opportunity. attain placements opening whenever you got notification from college groups. be prepared. ask your teacher to clear more doubts. However, I am the one who already had a job so I did not take from there because I was working in tech mahindra and its work from home in my favourate feild.

MBBS is concerned there is no issue with placement. As none of the doctors are jobless. And obviously placements are good one can work in well esteemed organization after just MBBS but more people prefer to opt PG course.
