- College campus is huge and there is no lack of greenery and fresh air which is a good change away from the city life.
- The location of campus is on the outskirts of Bangalore city which makes it a refreshing experience away from the busy city life.
Dislikes
- The curriculum followed as per VTU is very outdated and lacks practical knowledge which helps students in the future .
- The infrastructure of the college can be massively improved considering the fees they take per student. Fund allocation to the betterment of campus and student life is very poor.
Remarks :
Admission process was through KCET counselling process in which students have a choose their preferred list of colleges. All of this process takes place online. Once your allotment is confirmed in one of the 2+1 rounds, you have to visit the college with the bank receipt of the fees paid. Cut off for Cse IoT Branch at my time of joining (2022) was around 12,000 rank.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum of vtu is outdated and they focus more on theoretical concepts rather than practical real life applications. The majority faculty of this college is average where they don't put it enough efforts to make sure if the student is learning or understanding concepts. There are few exceptions who teach very well and actually have knowledge of the subject they teach. There are two internal exams conducted as of 2022 scheme which are not very hard, but the sem end external exams tend to be harder.
Internships Opportunities :
The college doesn't allow students to pursue any internships as of 2022 scheme and only provide one mandatory internship/ training program which is during the final 8th semester. Previous batch schemes used to have a minimum of three internships throughout the course of 4 years, a 1 month, 3 month and 6 month internship.
Placement Experience :
Placements begin during the sixth semester of the students. Common companies that visit our campus are accenture, l&t, cognizant, tcs, wipro, mindtree, etc. The average package claimed by the college is around rs 5 to 6LPA. Some of the highest packages include media.net and amazon which give 30+LPA and 16+ LPA. Average percentage of students getting placed are 90% as claimed by the college.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
As i joined through KCET general quota, my yearly fees is around rs 86,000 to rs 90,000, out of which around 64,000 is tuiton fee and the rest is miscellaneous fee. On visiting the college for admission i had to pay an extra amount of rs 15,000 as skill lab fees. Other categories include Comedk and Management quota, both of whose fee amount is around rs 2,50,000. Management quota students have to pay an extra donation amount which ranges from rs 5,00,000 to 10,00,000 depending on course branch. Snq, st, sc, obc categories have a lesser annual fee of around rs 20,000.
Campus Life :
Campus life is rather quiet and lifeless as compared to other colleges. We have our annual fest "Kalanjali" which is held around November and also ethnic day cultural fests called "Verve". Departmental fests also take place, but overall the extra curricular activities are less in this college. A new library has been built 2 years back but full access hasn't been provided to students yet.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement

Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
