Likes
- The different student organisations within the college. Me myself is part of many of them. Gives you an extra exposure to deal with things.
- The faculty is great on the basis of helping out the students in their academics as well as other activities.
Dislikes
- Day scholars sometimes loose the opportunity to attend evening events because the college bus times cannot be extended. Bus timings should be more flexible on that regards.
- According to new rule, Industrial Visit is only allowed during the last year.
Remarks :
SSET has both NBA as well as NAAC accreditation which made me consider this college as an option. The college provides placement training and also has on campus placements. Should clear entrance exam to get into college (JEE/JEE MAINS/ KEAM etc) for merit admission. For management and NRI seats, book the slots beforehand itself.
Course Curriculum Overview :
College is under the KTU university and follows the KTU schemes. About the faculty, they are great! We have teachers who are friendly and is always on a look out to help us out. The faculty ranges from associate professors to assitant professors. We even have teachers who have completed their Phds. Classes are taken in both Malayalam and English; if a non-malayale is present in the class, then it is fully taken in English. Regarding the exams, there are 8 semesters in total; 2 internals for each semester. Internals are easy, as long as preparation is done. The semester exams require referring the previous question papers as well, other than that, its easy to crack.
Internships Opportunities :
Completed a micro project and currently working on the mini project. These projects are part of the syllabus and is mandatory (CS BRANCH). Have taken an internship on AI and machine learning conducted by ICT.
Placement Experience :
On campus placement is available. Placement training starts from the 3rd semester itself.More details regarding the company visiting is given in the college website (haven't reached the semester to enroll for placements yet, so can't review).
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
If opting for a MERIT seat : 80000 If opting for a MANAGEMENT seat : 124000 If opting for an NRI seat : 180000 A caution deposit of 10000 rupees is paid in advance (will be returned after course if no damage is mad to college property)
Campus Life :
We have a very grand library, fully air-conditioned with journals on various topics. Sports is encouraged within the campus; annual sports meet and events are conducted. The college is a hub for many clubs namely: 1. IEEE 2. NSS 3. Yi Yuva 4. Orso 5. Tinkerhub 6. IEDC Onam and christmas is celebrated. But other events that normally occur in other colleges(fest, culturals etc.) don't often happen here.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel fee is 2000 per month. You don't get to choose your room, in the sense, rooms will be allotted only on the day of admission; no booking can be done prior. All rooms are the same. 3 in one room. Common washroom for each floor. Ladies hostel and junior men's hostel within the campus. Senior men's hostel outside the campus. PG's are also available in this locality. The mess is fine and the food here is good. Both veg and non-veg is available. There is a student mess committee that decides the menu. A menu mostly lasts for a month. The mess fee depends on each person, monthly payment.

college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
