- I really like the college faculty, their experience and supportive nature. i also like the crowd here is from all places of india and that helps us to learn more about every corner. i like the campus life, practical knowledge given.
- i also like the libraries, the data shared and the knowledge given is so good and also that everything in the library is so so maintained.
Dislikes
- i feel i dont dislike but the infrastructure is little bit compromised. the campus is small and they dont have space to accommodate all sports activities at the same time.
- i also dislike the mess services, the food quality, which again is compromised in almost all colleges.
Remarks :
i chose this college because this was actually a very unique course plus a government college plus under ministry of home affairs plus i felt interested towards it as well. the good aspects of college is it holds the title of institute of national importance, the faculty members are extremely experienced in their feilds and it comes under central government. the areas of improvement shall be infrastructure development (which by the way is going on) and placement opportunities.
Course Curriculum Overview :
NFSU ensures all rounded education for this course in forensic science and criminology both. faculty is extremely supportive and well versed. i chose this course because i was extremely interested in forensic science first of all and criminal psychology as well. i enjoy the process of studying the cases. we do review the faculty on semester basis and their seniority and experience sometimes leaves me in awe. their teaching methods are also great there is no such issue with the teachers, you can easily make notes with class and ppts are shared. we have libraries that are well equipped with all the data and books you require to master the fields. our each semester has 2 term assessments and mid semester and end semester examinations. by end semester examinations you'll be surprised they dont give you chance to forget stuff. it's all on tips.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
the fee is paid semester wise 75000 for 1st semester and 66500 for the second. my course is bsc msc criminology and forensic science. it is a dual degree. this fee structure includes tuition fee plus the exam fee as well. it is actually a good course and a very unique course. i feel if you are choosing a bsc degree then you can go for this one. it is governed by ministry of home affairs therefore you should choose it if it comes under your budget. instead of going for simple zoology botany degrees you can definitely go for this one.
Campus Life :
festivals and events- almost all festivals are celebrated here at our campus, namely Kreeda mahotsav (sports fest), all india forensic sciences summit, kalarav, annual functions, etc. as i said above we have 2 libraries all well equipped with all the data and books focused on the fields required. you can just keep on learning and enhancing your knowledge. our college focuses on sports and extracurricular activities and we even have kreeda mahotsav 2025 going on right now generally during february. we have various competitions like short film making competitions, poster making competitions, workshops by elite personnels etc. we have clubs run by college and a club run by students as well for the management society whose holistic approach is personal development for all.

The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
Maitreyi college is so underrated

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
