Top 3 Engineering college in Kerala, Highly qualified and experienced faculty, Good workshop facilities, many varieties of clubs, Vast campus full of greenery, Good Hostel and transportation facilities, Focuses on Arts and sports along with academics, A library with a vast collection, Many interactive action conducted almost every day. These comprise the pros of RIT. As of now there are only two cons. 1. You have to walk very much as the campus stretches over 85 acres. 2. You may face a small water shortage issue in summer. The admission is controlled entirely by CEE and the exam you will have to crack is KEAM. Generally speaking about the cutoff, you will have to have a rank above 14,000 in KEAM for the lowest branch. With reservation it may may go down to about 35,000. I prepared for KEAM by focusing on the kerala board 12th standard syallabus. From my experience the KEAM entrance exam is of moderate difficulty and with enough prep, you can crack it easily.
The curriculum has been revised and we currently follow the 2024 scheme. The new curriculum is significantly better as it includes topics like programming, life skills, entrepreneurship etc along with the core subjects. The faculty is highly qualified and experienced as most of them have doctrates and has completed post doctoral research as well. Many of them has written books that are even followed by IITs and one of them include our engineering graphics professor. There will be no delay in conducting the exams and they will be conducted timely. The question papers usually are of moderate difficulty and sometimes may be very difficult. The teaching experience has been really good and the experience of the faculty can be seen here. Many of them use working models to make us understand the concepts better and it has been really effective as well.
The eligibility criteria for placement is a minimum of 7.5 CGPA. RIT usually has a fair amount of recruiters and the average package offer lies between 7 LPA to 13 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is comparatively low. My plan after getting the degree is to pursue higher studies.
The year wise fees is 22000Rs. The total course fees you would be paying over 4 years would be 88000Rs. The fee doesn't increase over time. For reserved categories there is fee concession. There is also several other schemes provided on the official ktu website.
Talking about fests, the two main fests in RIT include KELI the arts fest and RITU the cultural fest. They are conducted on alternate years and as of now I have only experienced the arts fest. The library offers a vast collection of books that you can run out or read at the Libra itself. RIT is very active in sports field as the college usually are champions in many categories of the sports meet conducted by ktu. There is a dedicated department for physical education as well. RIT offers Many clubs. Sum of the include IEEE which is a club mainly for electrical engineers and has international recognition as well and also SAE which focuses on automobiles and mainly on mechanical engineering. The SAE RIT team has been recurring champions in many national events.

I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
