- The affordability is the major factor for me.. Regarless of the struggle it is very cheap and affordable

- Need to have better placement and internship
- The mess food can be made better also alternate food options can also be brought
Remarks :
I came here purely due to the status of university. The name the Earth science department of Pondicherry University is very big. The High reputation can boost your CV. Even the lab facilities are okayish and class timing all are not so much hectic. To get admission one has to write the CUET examination out of which he or she needs atleast 50% marks. I did my own preperation and was selected
Course Curriculum Overview :
It is not an hectic academic Curriculum. Faculties are also good. This can depend on the subject cause different teachers has various main fields. The exams, time schedule and results are perfect. Once the year plan is provided all exam and proceduce including results happens at correct time
Internships Opportunities :
Yes you can get Indians are offered at various places but we can get an application from the department and this application when these agent to the areas company which is like a application that proves at your part of this department this application then needs to be submitted to the company which you are going in the nearest one is on GC Chennai there are question and such kind of private companies where you and government companies where you can do the inventions other companies are to be explored by yourself if you are getting internship you can go for the internship during the vacations and the gaps covered during the academic
Placement Experience :
There is no placement in earth science department. The studies is mainly research oriented rather than job sector. This is one of the drawbacks becoz geology is a subject of study and research here. Thus there is placement promoted here
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
First semester cost 16 thousand then 2000 for next semester similar pattern is kept for 2nd year also. The odd semesters will have higher fee while even sem has low fee... Now the exam fee costs based on subjects and credits so abt 400 max per sem so study cost totally 40000 for my course... U can get NSP scholarship and various other state scholarships if u apply... Depends on luck and other criteria. The top students gets another scholarship too. The fee is same for all categories. The hostel costs around 15000 for a semester
Campus Life :
Infrastructure is okayish. It is a free happy environment. It is a comete different world inside the campus. Anything is possible. Various student organisations, clubs even anime club, grounds are very much available. The library book collection is bad in library sense coz library is just academic based. The reading room is one of the important location
Hostel Facilities :
Food quality is bad... Sometimes very worse. The food is generally white rice and chappathi. U get different gravy and other stuff. Regardless not so tasty. Adjustable is all. Hostels and good for the money. I stay in the hostel and hostels and cleaned daily. Hostel costs just 1000 per sem and food average of 13000 per sem

There is no placement but lot of values are there for this certificate and theres so many job oppertunites are theres in the library field. Not many students aren’t took this course so we can simply get jobs

There have campus placement after completing our course if we are wiling to do so on the affiliated colleges or off campuses of the university. For women also there have colleges at local and national level. Students also prefer to proceed their studies at global level by entering into international universities and other programmes.

The college has its own placement cell .each year almost 400-500 students are getting placed.the well know recruiters are TCS , Accenture,Bounteous , Capgemini etc.the highest package of cur end year is 12LPA.

Eligibility for sitting In placement is that we should not carry backlogs and we have to maintain a decent cg of 7+ some companies do allow even you have backlogs but mostly they don't . In eee we have a good scope of getting palced this time everyone who sat for placements was placed and the highest core package of 12lpa which is actually good. Average was around 7 lpa for core in eee . I'll probably choose upsc career so this placement thing is not my piece of cake . Still our college is good for eee core placements

Job placement is quite bad in our university if you think to get addmission here you will fight for job . You have to apply directly to the companies. Companies are coming here but they didn't provide placement more than 30% .

Placement Experience :
The few companies which attended the placement drive were pharmaceuticals and sales companies, which weren't related to the field we pursued. Students attended the placement drive got placed and were able to bag below average packages. The percentage of students who got placed were around 40%. My plans were to go for higher studies. More emphasis could have been placed by the college on the placements and more opportunities could have been provided by the college for the students.

Placement Experience :
Every year students are placed in a week reputed companies like Amazon,Virtusa,TCS, Capgemini, Renault and so on. All the students having eligibility to attend the placements but some of the Top MNC expected 60% eligibility of throughout 10,12 and academic CGPA. So not eligible students also having more placements options to crack it.
