- The Attendence Policy is officially 75% but its very lenient.
- The college is very affordable and return on investment is decent.
Dislikes
- The Infrastructure can be improved, there's lack of sports facilities in campus.
- The location is somewhat outside, there's not much to do at walking distance outside campus.
- There's no common canteen, the only canteen is in boys hostel.
Remarks :
IET DAVV is one of the top state college in Madhya Pradesh. It is a UTD under Devi Ahilya VishwaVidhyalaya. The course affordability, reputation, peer group of this college is pretty decent. The admissions are done on the basis of the JEE Mains scores, which gives it pretty good peers. Preparation of JEE Mains can be done with the online resources. There's no ragging in the college. Seniors are very supportive and cooperative. The college infrastucture is okayish, There's is lack of sports equipments in the college but you get full access to the university resource for it.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The Curriculum is old with minor updates. For the first year, Everyone get same subjects which are - Technical English, Applied Mathematics, General Mechanical Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Basic Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Drawing, Applied Physics, Computer Programming, Humanities, Design Thinking (added in 2024 batch). Faculties are decent. There are Tests every month(total 3) and then Endsem exams. The tests are of 20 marks each and endsems are 60 marks. Best of two test will get considered with endsem marks for the evaluation. Test difficulty is moderate. and endsems are between moderate to hard.
Placement Experience :
The Placement of this college are moderate. The Return of Investment is pretty good. The Average package for CS/IT is Around 11-12LPA with the highest being 51LPA from microsoft. Notable rectruiters are Goldman Sach, Dautche Bank, Groww, TCS etc. The TnP cell is pretty and almost 85-90% students get placed somewhere after the graduation.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The Total Yearly fees for Boys is 90k and For Girls it's around 88k, without hostel(gen/obc). The Academic Fees is 42k per semester, Caution fees is 4k. Exam Fees is 2750. There are many scholarships available, notable one is MMVY which is given by MP state government to students with MP domicile, The tution fees get reimbursed in it. There is also tution fees waiver for some seats. and other caste based scholarships for SC,ST. There's no management quota as such, all admission are done on the basis of JEE merit.
Campus Life :
The Main fest of IET DAVV is Aakshank. It is biggest fest of central india and it's very nice with lot of activities like DJ night, concerts, Car and bike shows, paintball courts. Notable Singers and bands have performed in it like Jubin Nautiyal, Jal Band, KK. It happens usually in March-April. But it's on hault as of now after covid, There's possibility of it resuming from 2025. The library is newly built and most course books are available. Classrooms are decent, there's no AC in classroom but there are fans and good lighting. many classrooms are equipped with projectors but they are rarely get used. There are 6 Academics block for different departments and one workshop. It was also temporary campus of IIT Indore. There are many clubs to join and they are decently active like Team Hawk (Aero Club), Team Samyavan Racer (Baja Club), Rudra (Dance Club), Team Sparks (Electric vehicle club), Google Developer Club, E Cell, Robotronics, Core electronics club. NSS club, IET Visuals.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostels are limited, there are 3 Building for Boys and 1 for girls hostels. It get alloted on the basis of first cum first serve during the admission. The Boys hostels is not that great. the rooms are triple sharing. Water sometimes run out. There is no gym, washing machine or common room. The mess food is decent, there is canteen in near boys mess. Girls hostel is relatively better with washing machines and less water shortage. There are plenty of hostels and PG Available nearby are walking distance are 4-6k price range near Khandwa Naka.

Placement and job opportunity is good in this college around 60% placed before start of 7th semester and 90% placed till end of 8th semester. Various company like Amazon , tcs , infosys , etc visit the campus. Highest package till now is 44 lpa and average is 6.5 lpa

The placement is quite quite good as year on years recently the placement was goes 57LPA to 75LPA and teh avg was 7-8LPA and median is 10LPA something. The college have 100% placement record every year and they also give grants and loans for students who wants to startup. But the internship support is zero like college are only focused on placement they are not foucing on internship.

I would like to say there are more job openings and internship programmes we had than a private college for both Graduates and Masters students. job openings in TCS/ banks and industries too. The thing is you need to put effort to grab a good opportunity. attain placements opening whenever you got notification from college groups. be prepared. ask your teacher to clear more doubts. However, I am the one who already had a job so I did not take from there because I was working in tech mahindra and its work from home in my favourate feild.

MBBS is concerned there is no issue with placement. As none of the doctors are jobless. And obviously placements are good one can work in well esteemed organization after just MBBS but more people prefer to opt PG course.
