Likes
- The college was fun. All the things about it was exciting the faculties especially was very much supportive
- The college life CUSAT offers is really great. There is no spoon feeding in CUSAT. Those who really have a vision on what they want can be really successful by studying here
Dislikes
- There is not much to dislike may be some faculties.
- College had large strength and i didn't feel like there is an auditorium to accommodate this much strength programs were either outdoor or in the seminar complex of the university
Remarks :
There is a common aptitude test for the CUSAT entrance. Which u have to pass and then based on the cut offs u have opt for your preferred branches. There are no GD/PI. Based on the rank you scored in the CAT exam you will be selected for your seat.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is designed for 4 years with 8 semesters, the first year is the foundation year where all the branches have to study the same subjects for getting the engineering foundation. And about the faculties there are hod's for each department and they all have doctorate degree, also each department have atleast 8 professors and associate professors and around 10 assistant professors apart from that there are lab staffs and office staffs. I got immense support from each of them and the teaching methods were also good
Internships Opportunities :
No I haven't opted for internships the internships happen during the final 6 months of the programme the offering companies were Cisco, IBM, Tata elxsi, Visteon. There were students selected for internships from these companies and they just had to write the final exam and not sit in class
Placement Experience :
There are enough placements and job opportunities in the campus bigger corporate companies comes every year for placement, and there will be an interview and aptitude test for the same. Based on the results you scores you will get offer letters for the job. The visited recruiters were Cisco, IBM, TCS, cognizant, Tata elxsi, Visteon, EY, UST global etc The highest package was 26 lpa and average was 6 lpa. Around 75% students gets placed. I am currently pursuing masters
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There were 2 quotas state merit and all india merit. I was in all india merit so I had to pay the double amount which is around 48000 per semester and for state merit students it was around 25000-28000. I didn't get any scholarships. This fees include all the amenities fees also like exam fee, lab fees, pta fee, library fee and many more
Campus Life :
So since CUSAT is a university and there are different departments under it there was a common arts fest called Sargam where different competition and fun activities was took place it is usually taken place in the month of March and students get all 3 days of celebration and fun throughout the fest also there is a tech fest called Dhishna which actually is now on hold due to some accidents that took place last year during the fest. Then there is sports fests called kurukshetra for inter departments and soe sports for the engineering departments particularly. There are various clubs also like social club, cultural club, nss
Hostel Facilities :
The girls hostel number is minimum in the college I got my college in the final year till then I was staying in private hostels. The university hostel is allotted to students according to the distance from their home to college the farther the distance more chances of getting. Also there is a system of guest as in we can accommodate an extra person in the room if all the room mates are willing. The hostel fees for my hostel was 500 per month and additional mess fee of below 2500 every month. There was a caution deposit of 2000 to be given in the starting year.

The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech.There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary

I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
