Likes
- The canteen in college is really good you will get variety of food options. The campus also has Nescafe in it.
- The college has sports ground there are various plants trees in college. The college offers library,Auditorium, infrastructure of college is really nice. The faculty of college is also well educated with high degrees.
Dislikes
- The college does not offer gym and swimming pools.
- Our college does not have transportation facilities so it would be very difficult for students who are staying far from college to up down daily.
Remarks :
GGDSD is one of the best colleges for commerce in Chandigarh and everyone wants to get admission in this college. It is also an old college so the reputation of the college is really very nice. The process of admission does not carry any interviews or group discussions. It is simple you have to apply for admission under PUCHD site and select your preferences and the colleges will be allotted based on the percentages you got in 12th
Course Curriculum Overview :
Bachelor of commerce as a course let the students learn basis knowledge related to accounting taxation finance and auditing as well as company law. It helps students in their personal life how to manage business and how to manage your personal finance. All the teachers here is well qualified with great degrees. Teachers are friendly they make classes interesting.
Internships Opportunities :
No I haven’t opted any internships but college provides various internships opportunities. There are different clubs in college that helps you to get involved with different companies the clubs have different departments like managing, finance, etc that helps us to add skills in particular thing
Placement Experience :
The college offers variety of placement opportunities. I’m pursuing CA along with my BCom so it would be easy for me to find a placement related to my CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT course. The college also offers campus placements.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
So in the first year I paid around 38000 as Tution fees and around 2800 as exam fees for each semester. In second year the Tution fees rises to 45000 and exam fees was around 3200 each semester and in 3rd year the fees would be around 50000 and exam fees may be 3500 each semester. As I’m a commerce student I didn’t pay any lab charges or any other additional fees.
Campus Life :
The college offers different types of clubs the students can participate in any club as per there preference. Clubs are not life party clubs it’s like activity clubs. There are elections in college. The college has fests. The campus life is really best in the college. The one who wins elections organises music show which is free for college students and they call a singer in that show.

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
