Since I've been born and bought up in Delhi I had a dream to visit and cherish the culture of South India. The only way to get into the institute for pursuing Bachelors of technology is by qualifying the JEE examination. There must be CRL rank not more than one lakh fifty thousand to get into the institute. There are not any personal institutional exams or interview conducted by the institute itself.
The course of computer science and engineering has a widespread diaspora over the globe. The institute has a great department facilities in computer science and engineering. The faculties are highly qualified and many of them are dropouts from top IIT and NIT giving us extra benefits in all aspects. Some of the professors have even pursued their higher education from abroad. The faculties are highly supportive. There are two exams conducted per semester mainly 1/2 semester exam and an end semester exam.
Since I'm in the first year I have not been opted for any internship programes . But as the time passes I am confirmed about my future. Since the faculties are very supportive to the students there are many internship opportunities for the students studying in IIITDM Kurnool. Some of the students have been applied for the internship in big multinational companies like Amazon Flipkart wipro etc. There are even intensity opportunities for IIITDM KURNOOL students to pursue their internship in other IIT and NIT.
Since the IIITDM Kurnool is a centrally funded technological institute its name is enough to attract the multinational companies into the campus. The Institute has been started from 2015 due to its less time span there isn't any good attraction for the companies in search of placements. Hence in campus placement are very low but when it comes to the out of campus placements the students taking the tag of IIIT bangs in the market. The highest placement ever from the institute was 1.3 CR and the mean placement is 8 lakhs per annum.
Since the IIITDM Kurnool is a CENTRALLY FUNDED TECHNOLOGICAL INSTITUTES its fees are variable. Since the time LAPSE of the year the fees are going on increasing year wise. The current scenario is IN 2024 - 2025 the fees are 1,60,000 for OBC and open students. There are other fees to which include library, laboratory, sports facilities etc. There are extra fees for hostels and mess facilities. These fees are 70,000 per year in case of SC and ST students there are not any tuition fees applicable to them but they have to pay the other developmental fees.
Since the IIITDM Kurnool College is built in the past years the infrastructure of the college is well maintained and properly functional. The college has all the facilities that students need in his life college life. There are many events conducted accordingly into the campus. Annual feast 'solasta' is conducted every year in the month of February or March. The laboratory and library facilities are very much student friendly and are timely open as per the need of the student. The sport facilities are well maintained and there are Turfs, indoor stadium, tennis court, badminton court, volleyball court, basketball court, and many sports facilities. There are actively running many clubs too in the institution some of them are FMC club , CODING club, GDG club etc.
There are three hostel for boys and one hostel for girls. Since I am a distance student I have been employed for both the hostel facilities as well as mess facilities. The hostel is very clean good and properly maintained .The hostel fees are nearly 35,000 per year and so is the mess. The mess food is moderate and can be easily intake. There are many cafeterias and food court too present in the campus the food menu is changed monthly. and there's a Mess Committee which regulates the proper function of the Mess. While doing the registration of your course there is a chance or there is an option for you to apply for the hostel facilities.
Those students who are in 5th semister are eligible for campus placements. Around 70-80% students are placed every year in top reputed companies with decent salary. I received placement offer from TCS . That was because of placement cell of Ashoka.
The campus placement is really good . Most of the students get placed in small or big company at last the moto is to have a job not focusing on salary where the salary does not matter. above 75% is the eligibility to sit in the campus placement drive if the company give their eligibility criteria or else no.
Considering current job market the Placements and job opportunities are satisfactory with mass hiring companies such as Accenture, Infosys and Capgemini being the highest bulk recruiting service based companies where 20-30 students get placed out of a class of strength 70, students are asked to register in their Third year for placements , The eligibility criteria is to not have any active backlogs and ready with structured resume though students are filtered with their CGPA , they will be rounds of aptitude and problem solving and having good DSA background will help a lot . The Highest packages is from Infosys which give 16+ LPA to students with advanced DSA knowledge but majority are placed between 4.5 - 6 LPA . Many students opt for higher studies by preparing for competitive exams or use their strong alumni network to get referrals are big Tech companies.
The average annual hostel fee is around Rs. 48,000 per student (or roughly Rs. 3,000 - 4,000 per month. The campus offers separate hostels for boys and girls with furnished rooms. Students note that the rooms are kept tidy, well-lit, and offer options for both single and shared occupancy.
In my college, the highest package is 35lpa and lowest package is 2lpa. Many companies was visited to my college for placement like tech Mahindra, Infosys, auto desk. Coming to the placements, their was many competition to get the offer.
Students with cgpa greater than 9 are considered first for placements indirectly. They will get more companies. And there will be bulk hiring for most of the students. TCS , Cognizant etc will come . And I feel the placement training team CRCS will train the students mainly competitive programming . Because they focus more on this .Also they will teach you each and everything ranging from how to write the recruitment exam to how to attend the HR interview. Even if you want to go for higher studies, they will guide you through it. The average package is around 10 LPA. And the highest is 50 LPA. Most of the students are placed through the University placements itself.
Students generally are eligible for placements after completion of 3rd year. Top companies like amazon, Accenture, Infosys, paypal, TCS, etc offered placements last year with offers in range of 5-15 . Highest package is 44 LPA and average package is 9 LPA. Percentage of students placed is in the range of 70%-80%. I am planning to prepare for Bank exams after completion of graduation.
Job opportunities are countless for the students who are skilled. Both software and core jobs placements can be observerved in a wide range. Many multi national companies like deloitte, infosys, snovasys, TCS, Accenture are tied up with the campus for conducting drives.
placements are good compared to many other college in the area. many companies like deloitte , hexaware , moldtek, ctrls, zf technologies, accenture , infosys, tcs, coditas, rithwik enterprises recruit every year from our college
There are good placements are going on on this university to crack a job interviews and minimum packages are got by some and most got more packages and the more more companies are coming to this university and when we have skill and discipline only we get placement job otherwise we won't get job.
