Remarks :

This wasn't my first choice I had kept this as a backup and got it through state neet counselling. I had heard it was good and the cutoff was near my rank so I opted for it. But I am quite disappointed and regret it. The college is extremely conservative. The rules are very strict, archaic and mostly senseless. Questioning is not allowed. Any minor thing will be threatened with suspension. There are also uniforms which we have to wear even during internship. The patient flow is good but all the patients are Bengali so unless we know Bengali it's hard to manage. There is opportunity to learn if we do things mostly by ourselves and our own initiative though.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose MBBS majorly due to the job security and pay. The curriculum is tough and gets tougher every year. Self study is the major way to score. The faculty, some are really good but most are not. Mostly it's reading out of ppts. The internals are medium difficulty but in the initial years some are made purposefully very hard.

Internships Opportunities :

There is compulsory one year internship after completion of the course within the attached hospitals, the pay is around 16000 per month but is irregular. The workload will be intense along with night shifts

Placement Experience :

The college does offer jobs within the hospitals attached to it. There are tutor jobs which pay decently for mbbs graduates. The postgraduate programmes are also fine. There isn't too much support for neet pg training.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For general state govt quota it is 1,30,000 per year. The first year they charge an additional 1,25,000 for the compulsory charges. We have college buses, most of them AC for a round 37,000 per year. Private quota seats- 11 lakhs per year. Management quota seats- around 1.8 crore for the entire course.

Campus Life :

There have only been 2 fests in the history of the college till now even though it's nearly been 25 years since the college started. The first fest was around 3 years ago and the second was last year. It was mostly namesake as most events were after or before class hours and you couldn't participate unless you came very early or stayed back late or came on Sundays. The library is actually really good and there is a nice self study room. Extracurricular activities are nil, they have started compulsory yoga classes for the first 2 years once a week now. Sports is only during fest.

Quality Education In Minimal Fees

Placement Experience :

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

RVU from the POV of a Student

Course Curriculum Overview :

All the faculties are extremely well qualified from top institutions of the world and they are all extremely approachable and nice. The term exams we had were split like CP1, CP2, and CP3 of 20+25+25 marks each. They were some easy ones, and some application based, which develops the engineering thinking mindset
