- The college is very clean and the classmates and other students were very helpful and supportive and positive.
- The faculty members were exceptional, providing both expertise in their subjects and practical knowledge.
Dislikes
- The placement cell should be more effective.
- The class time table should be less stringent.
Remarks :
Through my three years there, pros and cons of the college were really balanced. The teachers were highly qualified, best in their fields, labs were well equipped, the admission process was easy. Cut- offs were a bit high but till the end, a lot of people got selected. It is purely merit based selection. The environment in an overall way was very pleasant. The improvement should be done in exposure to the students. The classes were very hectic, fully packed from 9 in the morning to 4 in the evening. The placements were nil. No information about any internships and other things were shared.
Course Curriculum Overview :
We had 3 subjects -Physics , Chemistry, Maths. These were subdivided into 3 each. And for the first two years , you have extra subjects too. So it was really exhausting and left no room for any other activities to participate in. The exams were syllabus based with a strict checking. The faculty was highly qualified , skilled and knowledgeable. The professors were dedicated and the lab staff was really attentive too.
Internships Opportunities :
There was no information shared from the college staff and professors about any internship opportunities . You have to look for yourself for good internships. They did help with providing the necessary documents.
Placement Experience :
There was no campus placement in my course . Most of the students opted for higher studies. No offers were made and no recruiters visited. The placement cell for in- campus placement is very weak. I am pursuing my master's in chemistry from Jamia Millia Islamia University as of now.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees for each year are as follows: First Year: rs 20,000 Second Year: rs 25,000 Third Year: app. 30,000 These fees did not cover the examination fee. Payment should be made in advance or according to the agreed-upon schedule. They did charge us an extra thousand rupee for late submission of fee. Scholarships and financial aid Students were there , but it was not approved most of the time. --- Let me know if you'd like to make any further changes!
Campus Life :
Meraki'2024 happened and it was the biggest fest for MCMDAV. The libraries were well equipped and had each and every book you'll need for your respective course. Additionally, there was a reading room too. Sports and other extracurricular activities were focused on and frequent competitions and other performances were common. A lot of clubs were open for students to join and gain knowledge from. Over-all the campus life was really good.
Hostel Facilities :
Teh registration process for hostel was very rigorous and the wardens were very strict. Now they have air conditioned rooms. The timings were very rigid. And the mess timings were till 9 making it difficult to suffice through late night study sessions. Any electrical object was not allowed. The food quality was quite good. The kitchen staff was sweet and helpful. The registration and selection in purely a first come first serve . The locality around is comparatively expensive for pgs and flats. But you can look for good flats in the nearby sectors.

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

Placement and job opportunity is good because in civil engineering placement are good this college is better than many government college if no campus placement is offered than I prep for government exam connected to engineering like ies and many other best engineering government job

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
