Dislikes
- One issue is the limited flexibility in academic schedule which makes it tough to pursue internships.
- The Wi-Fi connectivity in hostels can be in consistent at some times.
Remarks :
I found out about this college on top 10 engineering in Kerala list at that time where SCMS ranked 9th position and also heard a lot good review about this college. As i entered through NRI Quota i didn't had any exams but had to provide my 12th class graduation certificate, proof of NRI status.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose B tech (Computer Science) because this field contained a lot of job opportunities. The faculties of the college are overall good all of them have a masters in M tech and many others have PHD. More experienced and knowledgeable faculties are the ones who train us. They are so friendly and also helpful with our studies, they provide us with study materials and resources. There are two internal exams and every six month there is final semester exam. These exams are not that much bad and can be pursued easily by putting effort and hardwork to study.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, i opted for an internship as part of the academic curriculum. I worked with ICT as an intern where i was involved in developing a website for agriculture. The internship was paid and lasted for 1 week. It helped me to improve my practical skills and understand real world work environments.
Placement Experience :
The placement opportunities are decent, especially for core branches like CSE , EC. The eligibility for placement usually includes a minimum CGPA of 6.5,no standing arrears and good communication skills. Top recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Sutherland.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For NRI quota, year wise fees paying is around rupees 1.80 lakhs. Tuition fee, lab fee & development fee are all around 1.75 lakhs. We need to give caution fees as rupees 10000 which is refundable after completing the course. Admission fee and registration fees include around 2000.For Merit quota annual tuition fee ranges from rupees 69k to 1 lakh depending on the branch and scholarship eligibility. For Management quota annual tuition fees are approximately rupees 1.75 lakhs. The caution fees, admission fees and other fees are same as mentioned before. Hostel facilities are provided for both boys and girls which are optional, hostel caution deposit is 5k. Advanced hostel rent should be provided for 6 months that is 12000 (2000/month). One month advance mess fee is 4255 and the mess fee are paid every month accordingly. For day scholars college buses are provided to most of the routes in Ernakulam to Thrissur. There are 22 buses which covers the key areas in and around the city.

Campus life at SCMS is vibrant and balanced, offering both academic focus and engaging social experiences. The campus is lush and green, providing a peaceful environment ideal for studies and relaxation
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel at SCMS is quite well maintained and secure making it a comfortable option for students coming from far places.The registration process is straightforward,typically done during admission with a separate form and payment for the hostel seat.Rooms are generally clean.Basic furniture like a cot,table and chair are provided.The mess food is decent witha rotating menu offering both vegetarian and non vegetarian options.Hygiene is good and food quality is satisfactory for most of the students.

The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that

college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
