I appeared for the JEE Main exam in 2023 and as per my rank I was offered IIITDM Kurnool in JoSAA and CSAB. As per my rank, this was the best Institute I could get. The fact it is the youngest Centally funded IIIT, was one thing that caught my interest. No GDs and interviews are conducted at the time of admission. Only JEE Main rank is the mode of admission.
I had interest in ECE branch and luckily I got it ECE Dual degree in CSAB round 2 (ME B. Tech in round 1). Curriculum is same in all colleges of this kind. We are currently following the syllabus set by NIT-W. Faculties are experienced and well-versed in their domains. They have done their PhDs and M. Tech from prestigious institutions like IISc, IITs and foreign universities.
I am currently doing my internship at a GoI owned Institution in SAS Nagar. Companies visit for internships but the data about the roles and offers are not clearly mentioned. Apollo, PhonPe, Infosys recently offered internships to many students of the 2021 admitted batch students
Eligibility criteria is set by the companies visiting the campus so all students in their capacity are eleigible for placements. Nvidia, Microchip, Delloite are some of the recruiters. The placements are disappointing and not comparable to other counterpart IIITs. Although we have a very big advantage of location but still we are struggling with placements. Most of the placements are from CSE and AI&DS disciplines. Core students either go for M. Tech or for IT jobs. I am planning for MBA after my degree completion
The tution fee per semester for 2023 batch is INR 80,000 nearly and an additional 30,000 for hostel. Since it is under the Central Govt., fee waiver are there for students who are eligible. The tution fee increases by a nearly 10,000 for the next batch. Various scholarship schemes are offered to the students by various state govt.s and private firms but the student needs to meet certain criteria for availing them.
Since the college was set up 10 years ago only, the infrastructure is still underway. Recently the cricket stadium was inaugrated. Solasta is the techno-cultural fest of our college which takes place in February every year, although it has happened 3 times only (2019, 2024 and 2025) it is excellent. We have singing and dance events, games, food stalls, DJ night and all sort of activities which make up a cultural fest. We have a state of the art library with thousands of books and journals covering Engineering, science and Govt. exams. The classrooms of the new academic block are outstanding. The campus is WIFI enabled. Digital board and podium are available in each class. Comfortable seating with power socets for each student is there. Football turf, cricket ground, tennis and badminton courts are there in our campus. Indoor games like chess and carrom are also there. We have various gaming events in our campus with exciting prize pools.
Food quality is up to the mark. Although you will not be contented with it every time therefore, we have 3 cafeterias and a super market in our campus. Being in South, we have north and south Indian menus, veg and non-veg. Hostel was mandatory in our time. Since our college is CFTI, the hostel fee is at par with other INIs and extremely affordable. Attendance is taken in hostel. If you are every out of the campus, you will not be charged mess fee for that particular time period (in days).
Those students who are in 5th semister are eligible for campus placements. Around 70-80% students are placed every year in top reputed companies with decent salary. I received placement offer from TCS . That was because of placement cell of Ashoka.
The campus placement is really good . Most of the students get placed in small or big company at last the moto is to have a job not focusing on salary where the salary does not matter. above 75% is the eligibility to sit in the campus placement drive if the company give their eligibility criteria or else no.
Considering current job market the Placements and job opportunities are satisfactory with mass hiring companies such as Accenture, Infosys and Capgemini being the highest bulk recruiting service based companies where 20-30 students get placed out of a class of strength 70, students are asked to register in their Third year for placements , The eligibility criteria is to not have any active backlogs and ready with structured resume though students are filtered with their CGPA , they will be rounds of aptitude and problem solving and having good DSA background will help a lot . The Highest packages is from Infosys which give 16+ LPA to students with advanced DSA knowledge but majority are placed between 4.5 - 6 LPA . Many students opt for higher studies by preparing for competitive exams or use their strong alumni network to get referrals are big Tech companies.
The average annual hostel fee is around Rs. 48,000 per student (or roughly Rs. 3,000 - 4,000 per month. The campus offers separate hostels for boys and girls with furnished rooms. Students note that the rooms are kept tidy, well-lit, and offer options for both single and shared occupancy.
In my college, the highest package is 35lpa and lowest package is 2lpa. Many companies was visited to my college for placement like tech Mahindra, Infosys, auto desk. Coming to the placements, their was many competition to get the offer.
Students with cgpa greater than 9 are considered first for placements indirectly. They will get more companies. And there will be bulk hiring for most of the students. TCS , Cognizant etc will come . And I feel the placement training team CRCS will train the students mainly competitive programming . Because they focus more on this .Also they will teach you each and everything ranging from how to write the recruitment exam to how to attend the HR interview. Even if you want to go for higher studies, they will guide you through it. The average package is around 10 LPA. And the highest is 50 LPA. Most of the students are placed through the University placements itself.
Students generally are eligible for placements after completion of 3rd year. Top companies like amazon, Accenture, Infosys, paypal, TCS, etc offered placements last year with offers in range of 5-15 . Highest package is 44 LPA and average package is 9 LPA. Percentage of students placed is in the range of 70%-80%. I am planning to prepare for Bank exams after completion of graduation.
Job opportunities are countless for the students who are skilled. Both software and core jobs placements can be observerved in a wide range. Many multi national companies like deloitte, infosys, snovasys, TCS, Accenture are tied up with the campus for conducting drives.
placements are good compared to many other college in the area. many companies like deloitte , hexaware , moldtek, ctrls, zf technologies, accenture , infosys, tcs, coditas, rithwik enterprises recruit every year from our college
There are good placements are going on on this university to crack a job interviews and minimum packages are got by some and most got more packages and the more more companies are coming to this university and when we have skill and discipline only we get placement job otherwise we won't get job.
