Remarks :

The college conducts its own test, that is the GITAM Admission Test or GAT, it was conducted online for our batch, however it now is conducted on the campus itself. The admission process comprised of two rounds, the written test, and the Personal Interview Round. The Interview is not a ground for denial of admission, it just is a way to introduce the students to the faculty, and clarify any doubts. The interview would either be taken by a faculty member of the School of Law, or by a guidance counsellor. The GAT was simple, as it was a basic exam, covering reasoning, language, and aptitude. Since I had appeared in similar exams in the past, I did not face any issues in preparing for GAT.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum has been significantly updated since our batch got admitted, and when compared to the previous batches. The newly admitted students have a very intuitive curriculum, that ensures an overall growth of the students, by combining practical learning along with the theory. The course has basic humanities subjects, which are dealt by specialised faculty members. All of the faculties have an LLM degree, and the one's who do not have a Phd yet, are enrolled in Phd programmes. The term exams happen across the campus at the same time for all the departments, and occur at a fixed time period every year. The exams are not super difficult, however they are application based, and one needs knowledge of the law in depth, to answer those questions. The faculties generally utilise an interactive teaching method, which makes sure that students are attentive.

Internships Opportunities :

The college itself does not provide any internships, however the internships are mandatory after every semester, and once the internship is done, a viva is conducted, which allows the students to share their experiences with their classmates.

Placement Experience :

There is no set criteria for the placement by the college, the criteria is determined by the companies that come for recruitment. The college generally is visted by insurance companies, or corporations looking for legal associates, and the highest package last year was 8 LPA. In a batch size of 120 students, there were close to 10 offers made, so about 8% was the placement rate, however not all of the students had opted for placements. The students generally go into practice, and start under senior lawyers.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The yearly fees for our batch was Rs. 1,05,000 which has now increased, to about 1,50,000 per year. The college organises its own admission test as well, and scoring well in it leads to a scholarship, I had a scholarship of 50%, however in order to maintain the scholarship throughout your course, one must maintain a CGPA of 8+. Our college fees has stayed constant, and has not been updated. The college also offers scholariships based on the ranks in CLAT, AILET and CUET. The scholarship can be as high as a 100%, and if the student is able to maintain a CGPA of above 8, they will be able to study at the college without ever paying the tution fees.

Campus Life :

The campus has several annual fests, conducted by various departments throughout the year; however, the inter-campus fest is Shore GITAM, conducted once every year in the month of January, which has a footfall of over 10,000 students from all three campuses. The Law school has its own library, as compared to the other departments, and the collection is decent, although it's not updated as regularly. The campus has all of the sports facilities that one could imagine, including a cricket stadium, football turt, tennis and badminton courts, etc. The university has social groups and clubs of all shapes and sizes, and in every area of interest, be it sports, recreation or learning, if one is interested in such activities, they will surely find a club of their interest.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility can be availed on the campus itself, the campus has multiple options for hostels to suit everyone's needs. The registration is done on the campus itself, and the campus has over 1000 rooms of various sizes to accomodate all the students. The hostels have gotten expensive, a however they are on par with any rented rooms that one will find around the city. The hostels are well mainted and cleaned properly everyday. The rooms are well equipped with WiFi, security, etc. The quality of the food is very good, and it is very hygenic as well, however the food items gets repeated often. There are numerous PGs available around the campus, which one can avail, however its better to avail the hostel facilty since they offer security, and proximity to the colleges.

Placement Experience :

The campus placement is really good . Most of the students get placed in small or big company at last the moto is to have a job not focusing on salary where the salary does not matter. above 75% is the eligibility to sit in the campus placement drive if the company give their eligibility criteria or else no.

Honest Review After joining AU Through AUEET

Placement Experience :

Considering current job market the Placements and job opportunities are satisfactory with mass hiring companies such as Accenture, Infosys and Capgemini being the highest bulk recruiting service based companies where 20-30 students get placed out of a class of strength 70, students are asked to register in their Third year for placements , The eligibility criteria is to not have any active backlogs and ready with structured resume though students are filtered with their CGPA , they will be rounds of aptitude and problem solving and having good DSA background will help a lot . The Highest packages is from Infosys which give 16+ LPA to students with advanced DSA knowledge but majority are placed between 4.5 - 6 LPA . Many students opt for higher studies by preparing for competitive exams or use their strong alumni network to get referrals are big Tech companies.

Placement Experience :

The average annual hostel fee is around Rs. 48,000 per student (or roughly Rs. 3,000 - 4,000 per month. The campus offers separate hostels for boys and girls with furnished rooms. Students note that the rooms are kept tidy, well-lit, and offer options for both single and shared occupancy.

Good infrastructure but needs better faculty.

Placement Experience :

Students with cgpa greater than 9 are considered first for placements indirectly. They will get more companies. And there will be bulk hiring for most of the students. TCS , Cognizant etc will come . And I feel the placement training team CRCS will train the students mainly competitive programming . Because they focus more on this .Also they will teach you each and everything ranging from how to write the recruitment exam to how to attend the HR interview. Even if you want to go for higher studies, they will guide you through it. The average package is around 10 LPA. And the highest is 50 LPA. Most of the students are placed through the University placements itself.
