- It's space and infrastructure is great. The university is spread across 400 acres.
- Hostels were very nice and cozy. Feels like home.
- Availability of goods is there close markets and goods.
- Faculties are cooperative. And they help in everything that causes you problem.
- Campus life is great. And events were very entertaining.
Dislikes
- I don't like my course curriculum. I need more practical knowledge.
Remarks :
It is said to the no 1 college of odisha in terms of post graduate. There is a written test called CPET through which you will get ranks and though that rank you will then can enroll to many universities like utkal Ravenshaw and all. Cutoff of utkal University vary in many terms.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is what I don't like at all. I was expecting some practical based but received theoretical curriculum. I know expectating from a pg university is not good but for a practical based course getting theoretical curriculum is not good in my opinion. But the faculties were good helping. Sometimes they are troubling for some unnecessary things but that can be manageble. After all that overall services that we get from the faculties are good.
Placement Experience :
There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Year wise we have to pay around 25000 and admission fee is there as well. I have enrolled here by giving an exam CPET. By qualifying in the exam will let us enroll in the universities of odisha. There is an extra examination fee which we have to provide per semester which is around 1500 to 1700 and may vary as well. We have to provide an extra 250 rupees for lab and center charge for examination. Financial aids are available. Many scholarship are approved like e-medhabruti which will provide around 20000 per year and kalia jojana also available which give 40000 per year. And national level scholarship is also there NLP which provide 15000 per month to the students.
Campus Life :
Social life in the campus is good. Students are friendly and the campus organize a lot of events the sports facilities are great. Festivals are celebrated like you were all a family and are never going to get separated. I think the social life is what makes the university unique. There are some clubs but I have not explored them personally. Sports event happen between each department. Recently upl was organised. Unfortunately we lost but get to know a lot of good players from the university. Gym facilities are also there indoor badminton court is there and a big playground where alot of sports activities were held. The library of utkal University is considered the largest library in odisha known as the parija library. E-library is also there where you can use systems provided and carry out your task or studies. It is great for students.
Hostel Facilities :
I have opted for hostel and also got into the hostel easily. The hostel facility are great daily cleaning but the hostel is kind of dirty not to good due to students but it is regularly cleaned. Apply for hostel is done while registration and also you were asking in the department to opt for hostel. You can get hostel easily. Almost every student can live in hostel and you can easily stay there. For the first year you have share room. Rooms were spacious. And in second year of pg you will get single room which also gives a lot of space. The food provided is tasty and healthy.

After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement

Placement Experience :
for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.

Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.

It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.

Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.

Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .

The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.

Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
