- Course curriculum is very detailed and includes on field practice
- Faculty knowledge is very good and they're all informative
Dislikes
- The classrooms are very school-like and doesn't exactly give the impression of a college lecture hall
- The fund for college events is very less and all spent for just 2 events. For the rest of the events, students have to pay from their own pockets.
Remarks :
The ranking was good, Course details were of my interest, Location was near the beach which I wanted Written test was of medium difficulty level and interview was one on one with a faculty member. The process was overall smooth.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is very practical- public relations, copywriting, reporting, broadcast journalism, foreign languages, and many more. The faculty are all PhD students or graduates. Their teaching methods are very good as well. Term exams are very timely and difficulty level is medium. The fee hike is 20k more every year. Cost to study is 2.5K per annum. There is even an option to extend the 3-year BA to 4-year and obtain an honours degree. There are scholarships available on academic merit.
Internships Opportunities :
I completed an internship as social media manager of a travel agency in Wander Womaniya for 3 months. I found it by myself. There are compulsory internships in second and third year for 3 months. In the second year you will have to opt for a media project (magazine/broadcast journalism/business and finance) All projects differ. My project is magazine wherein I have to make a magazine of my choice by the end of the semester.
Placement Experience :
Campus placement is offered but ultimately you have to look for jobs yourself. Job profiles offered are mainstream and may not be what you're looking for. No eligibility criteria. Few visited recruiters are Dentsu, AdFactors. Av package 21.5L Pa. My plans after getting the degree is looking for a job in Digital marketing in Fashion.
Campus Life :
There are a lot of fests not only in MIC, but entire MAHE. The biggest events are Revels and Utsav which are week long and have events like fashion shows, music and dance competitions, video games face off, etc. not only between students but teachers of colleges as well. Books and journals in MIC library is limited. Amenities are limited as well. It's not the typical college classroom, it's more like a school. There is a sports day every year and inter college sports events keep happening, both male and female. There is a queer club as well. Hostel- bad food quality and menu of FC1. FC2 is good but you can't necessarily get that. Registration process is smooth, affordability is 1.2K pa. It is located near the college, in campus. Most students shift out after the first year because of the food.

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

Eligibility for the placements is 7+ cgpa if you have higher cgpa higher the chances of you getting shortlisted for the interview and it will be easy for you Recuriters visited Cisco,Visa,Emerson,NetApp and many more for the internships and full time Highest package is 56 LPA and average package will be around 10 LPA for the computer science and Engineering for other branches it may vary
