- Nirf ranking of the university is good, research ecosystem is huge and excellent with good opportunities. All the labs are well equipped with high end equipment.
- Faculty are student friendly and well experienced in their own research areas. campus life is also good as it teaches many lessons about how to be and how to not to be.
Dislikes
- Some sort of security issues in the hostels.
Remarks :
Well experienced and highly qualified professors. Reasearch based learning. Practical knowledge development are some of the good aspects. The admission is through CUET. Reservation is applicable. There is no interview and group discussion for integrated masters.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am passionate about pursuing my career in research especially research in biology, this made me to choose this course. Faculty are highly qualified with post doctoral experience and good research knowledge. Teaching varies from professor to professor but on an average teaching is good. Exams are conducted on a semester basis. The difficulty level is moderate to high. Scholarships are provided by nsp and some other state schemes to the students. The fee is minimum when compared to other private institutions.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes I have opted for few social work internships at NGO's. They are paid. University also provides internships to students across india during winter and summer vacation. Projects vary from professor to professor.
Placement Experience :
Since my course is a research based one, most of the people opt for higher studies after the course like PhD and masters in abroad. Placements are quite good but higher studies are preferred over them. I wish to pursue PhD in abroad after the completion of my course.
Campus Life :
University fest will be conducted once in a academic year "sukoon". Classrooms are well equipped with projectors and air conditioning. Books are available in department library and in the central library. There are a lot of clubs in the campus like music club, dance club, UPSC club, science club etc... all the clubs are run by students itself. Hostels are well equipped with basic furniture. Rooms are spacious with good ventilation. Food quality and menu varies from hostel to hostel as there are around 20+ hostels in the campus. Hostel room rent is very minimum. mess fees comes around 2.5k to 3.5 per month. There are a lot of PGs available around but at very high cost.

From what I have experienced the college starts preparing us for placements much earlier than I expected. We regularly have coding practice, project work, resume reviews, aptitude sessions and mock interviews, so you are improving little by little instead of waiting for the final year. The college also shares internship and job opportunities with students. I feel the support is definitely there but your results depend on how much effort you put into building your skills.

Since I am still a student I haven't gone through the final placement season yet. But from what I have seen the college starts preparing us quite early. We have regular coding sessions, aptitude training, mock interviews and resume building workshops. The placement team also shared internship opportunities whenever they are available. I feel the college is more focused on making students job ready than waiting until the final year. If you stay consistent with your coding, projects and overall skills, you will be in a much better position when placement season starts. Overall I think the college provides good support, but students also need to put in their own effort.

As a current student I haven't reached the final placement season yet but the college has already started preparing us. We get regular updates about internship opportunities, and many students apply from the early semester itself. Along with that there are sessions on resume writing, aptitude, communication skills and interview preparation. The college also encourages us to build projects and improve our technical skills, which helps while applying for internships. I feel these small efforts throughout the course will make a big difference when placements begun.

NIAT is a relatively new institute the first batch hasn't graduated yet, so there isn't any official placement record available. However the college has done a good job of preparing students through practical learning, coding and real world projects. Many students have already secured internships from the first year itself which gives them valuable industry experience. Along with technical skills the college also provides guidance for resume building and interviews, making students feel more confident about future placement opportunities.

Eligibility is that we must maintain atleast 60-70% aggregate overall without any active backlogs. Recruiters are Infosys, TCS, Wipro, AWS etc. Total no. of offers made: All branches combined get 700-1100+ offers. Highest package is 52 lpa offered by AWS, and average package is about 6 lpa. About 60% students get placements. After getting my degree, I intend to get a good job in campus placements in companies like AWS, and go towards VLSI field
