I got enrolled in JNTUH's CSC through TS EAMCET. It is a state-wide examination conducted to get enrolled for graduation seats in Telangana. JNTUH is considered to be a top college and for computer science, you need to have a rank of below 2k. It is quite simple when compared to JEE mains. Unlike BITSAT, it has reservation benefits. It occurs annually and a lot of students apply for this exam.
I chose this course as I am passionate about pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science. The faculty is well qualified and teaching is quite good. There are two mid-term examinations and a semester examination which are set quite hard and the mode of correction is also hard. There is no fee hike policy. The tuition fee is around 1,00,000 per annum for self-financed courses and 50,000 for normal courses.
Students will be eligible for placements after the sixth semester. There are many companies offering placements for our college like Amd, Infosys, TCS, Mahindra, etc. The average package is around 9,00,000 per annum. The highest package was around 52,00,000 per annum. I planned for a master's abroad.
In the name of co-curricular activities, we have a college fest and a freshers party. As a first-year student, my expectations did not meet the reality of the freshers' party. There is a huge university Library which of three floors. One floor is complete with computers. Many books are very helpful for academics. No clubs for the first year. The food quality is good but the menu is less versatile. The registration process for a hostel is quite easy. The hostel is very affordable. There are many rooms or PGs available in the locality.
The campus placements are good and there are companies coming in every year for fresh talent but it all comes down to our talent. We are provided with an opportunity but we have to work for it ourselves.
Placements and Internships The placement opportunities at my college are average, with a limited number of companies visiting the campus every year. Students who maintain a good academic record and possess strong technical and communication skills have better chances of getting placed. Generally, students with no active backlogs and a minimum academic percentage as specified by the recruiting company are eligible to participate in campus placements. A few recruiters visit the college for hiring, mainly for entry-level roles in software, IT support, and core engineering domains. However, the number of offers is limited, and only around 40–50% of students secure campus placements. The average salary package offered ranges from ?3–4 LPA, while the highest package varies depending on the company and the student's performance. The college also encourages students to apply for paid internships, which help them gain practical industry experience and improve their technical skills
I am still in my second year, so I havent sat for placements yet. But the college starts preparing us early with coding practice, projects, aptitude training, resume building sessions, and mock interviews. FRom interacting with seniors, I have heard that students who stay consistent with their skills get good opportunities
One good thing is that placements aren't treated as something that only matters in the final year. From the early semesters we are encouraged to build projects, improve our coding skills, and create a strong resume. That gives us enough time to prepare instead of rushing later. The college also shares internship opportunities and guides students through the application process. There are resume reviews, mock interviews, and career sessions that help us understand what companies expect. I feel the support is there throughout the journey, the more effort you put in, the more you can benefit from these opportunities.
Best part is the college doesn't wait until the final year to talk about careers. We get opportunities to work on projects, improve our coding, build resumes, and attend interview preparation sessions from the early semesters. Internship opportunities are shared regularly and the college guides students through the application process. This has helped me gain practical experience and understand what companies expect.
From what I have experienced the college starts preparing us for placements much earlier than I expected. We regularly have coding practice, project work, resume reviews, aptitude sessions and mock interviews, so you are improving little by little instead of waiting for the final year. The college also shares internship and job opportunities with students. I feel the support is definitely there but your results depend on how much effort you put into building your skills.
In our district kamala is the only college with highest placement records .many more MNC are visiting our college and student are getting placed in many companies with highest packages and currently they are leading good lifes
Since I am still a student I haven't gone through the final placement season yet. But from what I have seen the college starts preparing us quite early. We have regular coding sessions, aptitude training, mock interviews and resume building workshops. The placement team also shared internship opportunities whenever they are available. I feel the college is more focused on making students job ready than waiting until the final year. If you stay consistent with your coding, projects and overall skills, you will be in a much better position when placement season starts. Overall I think the college provides good support, but students also need to put in their own effort.

One important thing I like about the course is that it isn't only about reading books and writing exams. We get to practice what we learn through coding, assignments, and small projects, which makes the subject easier to understand. The syllabus also covers topics that are useful for todays tech industry. The faculty is friendly and easy to talk to. They explain concepts in a simple way, clear doubts without any hesitation, and we are already ready to help if someone is struggling.
