B.Tech Admission

For B.Tech, JNTUH constituent colleges admit students through TG-EAPCET state counselling. Government seats are allotted through the state quota, while a small NRI and management quota is filled directly by the institution.

  • Eligibility: 10+2 with PCM from a recognised board, with at least 45% aggregate marks, or 40% for SC/ST students
  • Entrance: A valid TG-EAPCET rank from a test covering Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
  • Counselling: Web options and online counselling conducted centrally by TGSCHE, the Telangana State Council for Higher Education
  • Seat allotment: TG-EAPCET rank, category, and college and branch preference decide the allotment

JNTUHCEH, the main campus college, is one of the most preferred choices in JNTUH counselling. CSE and ECE at JNTUHCEH usually need competitive EAPCET ranks, while Civil and Chemical Engineering normally have easier cutoffs. Separate rank lists are maintained for OC, BC-A/B/C/D/E, SC, and ST categories.

M.Tech Admission

M.Tech seats are filled through GATE scores and TS-PGECET, the Telangana PG Engineering Common Entrance Test, for students without GATE scores. GATE-qualified students get AICTE-sponsored seats with a full monthly stipend.

  • Eligibility: B.Tech/BE in the relevant discipline with at least 60% aggregate marks
  • Selection: GATE-qualified candidates get priority, and TS-PGECET rank is used for the remaining seats

MBA and MCA Admission

MBA and MCA admissions are based on TS-ICET, the Telangana Integrated Common Entrance Test. TGSCHE conducts this state-level test for management and computer application programmes.

  • MBA eligibility: Graduation in any discipline with at least 50% marks
  • MCA eligibility: BCA or graduation with Mathematics at degree level or 10+2 level
  • Counselling: TGSCHE central counselling based on TS-ICET rank

PhD Admission

JNTUH conducts PhD admission twice every year. Students must take a written research aptitude test and attend an interview at the university. Research is offered in engineering, science, management, and humanities departments at the main campus and constituent colleges.
