VCE Courses and Fees

VCE has seven BE branches with a total capacity of 780 students and four ME specialisations offering 48 seats. Every BE branch costs INR 1,46,200 per year, making the four-year fee INR 5,84,800. The two-year ME fee is INR 2,30,400, charged at INR 1,15,200 per year.

TS EAPCET admission is most competitive for CSE and CSE (AI and ML). Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering generally have more open rank ranges and are options for students interested in infrastructure or core manufacturing. Diploma holders can join the second year of a BE course through TS ECET lateral-entry counselling.

VCE Admission Process

VCE does not conduct a separate entrance examination. Telangana's centralised admission system handles government-quota seats. TS EAPCET ranks are used for regular UG admission, TS ECET ranks apply to lateral entry, and ME seats are offered through TGPGECET or GATE-based counselling.

BE Admission through TS EAPCET and the Management Quota

For a government-quota BE seat, students must complete 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry or Biotechnology. General-category applicants need at least 45% in 10+2 and must hold a valid TS EAPCET rank. Telangana and Andhra Pradesh students can compete for state-quota seats. Applicants from other states may seek Category B management-quota admission.

1. Complete 10+2 with the required subjects and marks.
2. Appear for TS EAPCET and obtain a valid rank for regular BE admission.
3. Join the TSCHE online counselling process and enter the preferred college and branch choices.
4. Receive a government-quota allotment according to rank, category, and branch preference.
5. For a Category B seat, submit the application directly to VCE instead of seeking allotment through the government quota.

• Government quota (70% of seats): TSCHE allocates these seats through online TS EAPCET counselling. The allotment depends on the student's rank, category, and selected branch.
• Management quota (30% of seats): VCE fills these seats directly at the management-quota fee approved by the state.

Students seeking CSE or CSE (AI and ML) generally required a General-category rank below 2,000, based on the 2025 closing ranks. In the same admission cycle, IT closed at 3,786 and ECE at 4,530. Rank ranges tend to remain similar between years, although the number of applicants can cause small changes.

ME Admission through TGPGECET

Applicants need a BE or B.Tech degree in a related discipline to pursue an ME programme. They must qualify through TGPGECET, the Telangana Graduate PG Engineering Common Entrance Test, or present a valid GATE score. Seats are assigned through centralised postgraduate counselling conducted by TSCHE through the Osmania University or TSCHE process.

1. Earn a BE or B.Tech degree in the relevant discipline.
2. Obtain a valid TGPGECET or GATE score.
3. Participate in the centralised postgraduate counselling process.
4. Select from CSE, Embedded Systems and VLSI Design, Advanced Manufacturing and Mechanical Systems Design, or Power Systems and Power Electronics, subject to allotment.

VCE Cutoffs

The TS EAPCET 2025 closing ranks indicate the level of competition across VCE's BE branches and served as a reference for the 2026 admission cycle. CSE and CSE (AI and Machine Learning) filled first at the lowest ranks.

VCE Placements

Amazon made the highest offer during VCE placements in 2025, selecting students for SDE roles at INR 47.50 LPA. The NIRF-reported average package was INR 6.92 LPA. Employers issued 998 offers to the graduating batch, and 551 of the 723 eligible students secured placements. This produced a placement rate of 76.21%.

IT services and technology companies account for a large part of recruitment at VCE. Product and service-based software employers commonly hire CSE and IT students. ECE graduates find opportunities in telecom, VLSI, and embedded systems, while manufacturing and infrastructure companies offer core roles to Mechanical and Civil Engineering students.

VCE Rankings

VCE participated in the NIRF Engineering assessment and was listed in the 201-300 band for 2024. Its institutional quality accreditation is NAAC A++, and NBA accreditation covers every programme offered by the college.

NAAC A++ is the highest grade in India's national higher-education quality-assurance framework. VCE is among the few autonomous engineering colleges in Hyderabad with this accreditation and is regarded as one of Telangana's stronger private autonomous engineering institutions.

VCE Campus and Infrastructure

VCE is situated at Ibrahimbagh, Hyderabad, near the Osmania University precinct in central Hyderabad. Students can reach the neighbourhood through Hyderabad Metro services, TSRTC buses, and roads connected to the Outer Ring Road.

The academic infrastructure includes air-conditioned laboratories, seminar halls, a central library, and a separate centre for placements and career guidance. SWAYAM-NPTEL recognised VCE as a local chapter and awarded it the Best New Local Chapter distinction with an AA rating, reflecting the college's participation in online technical learning. Student activities include a robotics club, a coding society, and technical symposia organised under the Vasavi Engineering Annual Technical Festival.

VCE Scholarships

Students from low-income families can seek financial support through VCE's needs-based institutional schemes, including the Ganti Prasad Rao Scholarship. Eligible students may also apply for central government schemes available through the National Scholarship Portal. State and central government scholarships are open to qualifying SC, ST, OBC, and EBC students according to the applicable family-income limits.

VCE vs CBIT vs MGIT

TS EAPCET applicants often compare Vasavi College of Engineering with Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology and Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology. These established private autonomous engineering colleges are affiliated with Osmania University, hold NBA accreditation, and compete for the same applicant base from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

VCE stands apart in this comparison because of its NAAC A++ grade. CBIT, founded in 1979, is the oldest of the three and has the larger alumni network. MGIT is the newest institution and has expanded quickly in CSE and IT. Their fee ranges are broadly comparable. CBIT's CSE closing ranks in TS EAPCET are usually slightly lower and therefore more competitive than VCE's, which reflects CBIT's somewhat stronger brand recognition within Hyderabad.
