What's New In GPAT 2026?
GPAT 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on 7 March 2026. The examination will be conducted in CBT mode with multiple-choice questions.
- A total of 125 questions will be asked in GPAT 2026.
- Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Allied Subjects and Pharmaceutics & Allied Subjects each will carry 38 questions, with 76 questions in total.
- Pharmacology & Allied Subjects will carry 28 questions.

What is GPAT Exam?
GPAT stands for Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test. It is a national entrance test held in India for admission to pharmacy programs. National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences conducts the test on behalf of the All-India Council for Technical Education. Candidate’s understanding of pharmaceutical sciences and how they apply it to pharmacy are evaluated. Several universities and associated colleges in India accept the results of the GPAT 2026 for admission to their postgraduate pharmacy programs.
GPAT 2026 is an online, Computer-Based Test. You have to answer 125 questions in 3 hours, according to GPAT exam pattern. GPAT question paper is divided into five sections – Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Allied Subjects, Pharmaceutics & Allied Subjects, Pharmacognosy & Allied Subjects, Pharmacology & Allied Subjects, and other subjects of B.Pharm course. GPAT 2026 Answer Key
Generally, the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences releases the GPAT provisional answer key in the month of July and thereafter the final answer key. Every year GPAT results are also declared along with GPAT final answer key. Before the final result is declared, candidates can challenge the provisional answers to the questions they consider wrong.
