Remarks :

When selecting this college, I was primarily drawn to its strong academic reputation in my desired field of study. Additionally, the campus facilities, extracurricular opportunities, and location played significant roles in my decision. Yes, as part of the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum at RVS College of Engineering, Jamshedpur, is somewhat lacking in depth and practical application. While the faculty members are knowledgeable, there seems to be a disconnect between their expertise and the actual delivery of the material. Additionally, the availability of scholarships and financial assistance options is limited, making it challenging for some students to afford the fees. Overall, while the college provides a basic education, there is room for improvement in terms of curriculum, academics, and financial support for students.

Internships Opportunities :

I haven't opted for any internship at the moment. Regarding internship opportunities available with the college, there are some options, but they are limited in scope and availability. The college may have partnerships with a few companies or organizations that offer internships to students, but the opportunities may not be as diverse or extensive as students would hope for. As a result, students may need to explore external internship opportunities on their own to gain valuable hands-on experience in their field of study. Overall, while internships are available to some extent, the college could improve by expanding its network of industry partners to provide more internship opportunities for students.

Placement Experience :

The placements and job opportunities at RVS College of Engineering are average. While the college does host some recruitment drives, the participation of reputable companies may be limited. This can result in fewer options for students during campus placements. As a result, students may need to actively seek out job opportunities on their own. However, with proper networking and preparation, students can still find employment post-graduation. It's essential for students to utilize career services and engage in internships to enhance their employability. Overall, while not exceptional, the college provides decent opportunities for students to kickstart their careers.

Campus Life :

Life at the RVS College of Engineering campus offers a mixed experience. Social life can be vibrant, with various clubs and extracurricular activities available for students to participate in. However, the infrastructure may not be up to par with expectations, with some facilities lacking maintenance and modern amenities. As for hostel life, while the accommodations provide the basic necessities, they may not offer the same level of comfort and convenience as other institutions. Overall, the campus environment fosters a sense of community, but there are areas where improvements could enhance the overall student experience.

The Real BIT Sindri Experience

Placement Experience :

Placements are the main reason people come here. For Electrical, big players like Tata Steel, JSW, and Vedanta are regulars. The average package stays around ?7–8 LPA, while the highest can go up to ?15–20 LPA for core branches. You become eligible for placements from the 7th semester. I’m planning to sit for GATE as well, as many seniors here aim for PSUs. For internships, the college helps with vocational training in places like DVC or HURL, though paid internships are something you usually have to hunt for yourself on LinkedIn.

Life in g.p latehar

Placement Experience :

There is no campus placement in this college, so we have to plan our own jobs or internships after completing the course. Eligibility criteria for jobs depends on companies, mostly they ask for basic knowledge and skills related to the course. Some students do internships on their own in local companies or online. Since there is no official placement, there are no recruiters, packages or offers from college. Around 0% students get placement from college itself. My plan after degree is to prepare for government jobs and also apply for some private jobs related to my field. Overall, college is good for learning, but for placements you have to work on your own

Placement Experience :

"Placements in my college are slowly improving but still not at the level of top engineering colleges. Some companies visit every year but the number of offers is limited. Students who have good skills and prepare on their own get opportunities easily. The eligibility for sitting in placements is usually 6.0 CGPA and no major backlogs. Recruiters like small IT companies, training firms and a few core-related companies have visited. The highest package was around 6–7 LPA and the average stays near 3 LPA depending on the branch. Around 25–35% students get placed from campus and others go for off-campus drives. Internships are mostly arranged by students themselves through online platforms. After completing my degree, I plan to prepare for off-campus jobs and also improve my technical skills to get a better job in company or in government job
