- I personally like the College environment has SD has its own vibe
- The faculty is indeed great as we have never faced any problem with them
Dislikes
- Well the placement opportunities are kinda low so it does leave a negative remark
- And the lectures could become more of practical specifically for BBA as we plan to go for masters
Remarks :
Most of my known people have studied at GGDSD and they recommended I to apply the same college as it is one of the best colleges in Chandigarh. The admission was given based on merit list ie 12th marks. They even have reservations and extracurricular activities points.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose BBA as I was always interested in management and I chose this college as it's famous for being the best college in Chandigarh for commerce. Most of the lecturers are PhD holders and they are very friendly and easy to approach. Every semester we had mid-semester exams and the difficulty level was moderate depending on the subject. Yes, the fees hike every year by 3 to 4 thousand depending upon the course.
Internships Opportunities :
Well, the college doesn't provide any internship directly however there are 2 or 3 clubs that provide short-term internship opportunities ie for 1 or 2 months. I have been a part of internships provided by the enacts club and other internships from outside the college
Placement Experience :
The placements depend completely on the course. In the commerce department, most of the time BCOM students get placed easily whereas BBA students usually go for master's. The companies that usually visit are ICICI Bank, Deloitte, etc I plan to go for higher studies ie MBA
Campus Life :
The campus life is great. We have plenty of clubs like enacts club, Rotaract club, TEDx, commerce, management, etc. The hostel is very good. There are two separate blocks and the quality of food is fine. Since I'm a day scholar I don't know much about it. I used to travel daily.

Placement Experience :
College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

Placement and job opportunity is good because in civil engineering placement are good this college is better than many government college if no campus placement is offered than I prep for government exam connected to engineering like ies and many other best engineering government job

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
