Likes
- The main positive thing about the campus is the environment and about the cultural diversity. As different students are coming from different locations all around India, so,.there the campus will be diverse with different cultural as a result different programs will be held in different occasions.
- The campus is like a miniature form of India, because different cultured people all around the India are concentrated in our campus itself. The other positive thing about the campus is its natural, because even though the campus is situated in a drought prone areas the campus is slowly becoming greenery due to planting of different varieties of plants.
Dislikes
- The main drawback about the campus is climate of the campus because the summer days are extremely hot and the temperature may exceed even 40 degree Celsius in peak summer time.
- Other drawback about the campus is food. The mess food in campus is not good and the food is not healthy. Most of the students in the campus have a bad impression about the food that we get from the mess.
Remarks :
To get into Central University of Karnataka we should write CUET exam conducted by NTA. The exam will held once in every year and cutoff mark will be depend upon the University and the course which we select. When I get enrolled for IMSC Geography in 2021 in CUK the cutoff mark was around 200 for General students and there will be reservation for OBC/SC/ST students. Good aspect of the University is campus environment and the campus is very spacious.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The Geography department in Central University of Karnataka is comparatively good department with good facilities. Every faculty in our department has completed their PhD from reputed colleges like International Institute of Population Sciences (IIPS), North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) and some have done their PhD from our University itself. There are different Scholarships that students can avail like National Scholarships live NSP and State scholarships like OBC Postmatric Scholarship. Semester exam will be announced before 1 month of the exam and exams will be held accordingly. There will be very little chance of changing the exam dates that was previously announced. Exams are comparatively simple and by studying within 1 week of exam we can complete the whole syllabus. The cost of studying in University is around 40000 for 3 year tution fees and about 16000 rupees per semester for Hostel and Mess.
Internships Opportunities :
I haven't opted for any internship. The University won't provide any internship opportunities for our Geography course, but one can apply for internship and do the internship during the course time itself, that is one can do their internship program while pursuing degree itself.
Placement Experience :
The placement in the campus is very low especially for Geography courses as it is not a professional degree. This is one of the draw back of the University. But placement is there for other courses like Btech, Economics, Psychology.
Campus Life :
Different fest are conducted on different occasions in the campus like on Holi, Ganesh Chaturthi and on other famous occasions. Different departments in the campus will conduct different fest yearly and the University Fest named as 'ANKUR' Fest will be conducted once in every year this include both Arts and Sport meet. There is a Central library in our University but our Library is not upto mark, because the library cannot accommodate so many students and the library will get rushed during exam time. There is a good University ground, and football post is there in the ground, now the ground is getting renovated and a new Basketball court is coming and is under construction.

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

Eligibility for the placements is 7+ cgpa if you have higher cgpa higher the chances of you getting shortlisted for the interview and it will be easy for you Recuriters visited Cisco,Visa,Emerson,NetApp and many more for the internships and full time Highest package is 56 LPA and average package will be around 10 LPA for the computer science and Engineering for other branches it may vary
