- I like the infrastructure of my college, It's really commendable and provides modern ammenities. The buildingslook really nice and are kind of identical to the modern architecture .
- I like the faculty as well, They're really knowledgable and supportive who teach really well. They also have really good connections with the professors abroad which acts as another way of getting in touch with them
- The food at IITH tastes really good as well and You can even buy chicken at a very affordable price of 45 Rs. It also tastes really good and the quantity is sufficient
- The bus commutation is really beneficial as IITH as a consistent Bus Service. It provides ius with an easier way to travel from the Hostels to the Main Gate and vice versa.
- The diversity of Clubs here is really nice and gives us a lot of options to choose from. This makes every student with a unique interest to make a choice for himself.
- The fests at IITH usually act as a good way to network with fellow students which is another aspect that I like about IITH. They are also really fun to witness in person with good artists being invited to perform.
Dislikes
- I dislike the unavailability of my water on my floor in my hostel Rooms. It's been 1 year and we still don't have a proper drinking water facility on my floor
- I dislike the way the mess staff sometimes clean the utensils as It doesn't seem good sometimes. Occassionally you can see the sirt marks on them.
- I also don't like the fact that the institute has less tall trees to provide shade while walking. It's really tiresome to walk in the sun during summers
- I dislike the continuous evaluation system IITH has rather than just having midsem and endsem exams. It puts consistent stress on our minds
- I dislike how some professors do rather harsh grading despite their grading making significant impact on our overall CGPA. Sometimes the average grade A professor gives is a C Grade.
- I dislike the stress in some courses with a burden of a lot of deadlines and assignments, Some profeesors give an assignment right after we finish an assignment with a rather short deadline on some occassions.
Remarks :
The good aspects of IIT Hyderabad are that it excels in academics, research opportunities, industry ties, infrastructure and a diverse student community, The bad aspects of IIT Hyderabad would be the lack of trees which are highly essential for providing shade during the summer reason and on a personal level I would say a bad aspect would be the lack of drinking water on my floor. The admission process for IIT Hyderabad is pretty straightforward, We first need to take the JEE Mains Entrance Examination and the qualifying percentile for General Category was around 80 percentile and then when we qualify we need to give JEE Advanced, The qualifying score for jEE Advanced usually varies for each subject every year. You don't really have to prepare for the admission rounds as your JEE Advanced will determine the IIT that you're going to get into, This is facilitated by the JoSAA portal that all IIT's use.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course as I was always fascinated by computers and their scope as a kid, and the current job market currently favours tech. The faculty here are really talented and their qualifications are really good, They teach really well, Some professors teach at a fast pace and the others teach at a slower pace. The exams at IITH follow a rather random model, where the dates aren't fixed but are determined by the professors at IITH, The difficulty of the exams also depends on the professors but i'd say they're relatively tougher. The fee was never hiked but on once specific occassion our director attempted to raise the annual bus fee by 5000Rs per semester and a lot of students protested against it, So it never took place and the fee remained the same. The cost to study is 13 lakh for your 4 years of stay at IITH. The scholarships available are Merit Based which is around 2000 per month and there's another scholarship for SC-ST candidates which is around 1000 per month
Internships Opportunities :
A lot of companies came to IIT Hyderabad to interview students for internships, KLAV An AI company offered 1 LPA and offered the role to 5 students. Their project revolved around Machine Learning. Amazon offered 80000 stipend to 4 students and their project was SoftWare Development. Another Japanese SoftWare company offered around 80000 Rupees to a student and their proect was Remote Software Development. Microsoft, Google Step were the other internship opportunites availed by the Students at IIT Hyderabad with a stipend on around 1 LPA. Most of these internships revolved around Computer Science with the projects being related SoftWare Development and the tasks were similarly associated with it. The CGPA requirements for these internships were mostly 8+ CGPA/ 7.5+ CGPA. Around 30% of the students got a On-Campus Internship offerm and a few others availed the Off-Campus Internship opportunities which were equally beneficial.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for placements is mostly to get above 7 CGPA for most of the companies, Few companies set the requirement as 6.5 CGPA and very few companies set the requirement at 8 CGPA. The CGPA requirements are sometimes negotiated by our institute to let more students sit for placements. Recruiters such as Amazon, Microsoft, Sprinklr came to our institute and made around 300 offers. The highest package was 92 LPA and the avg Package was around 27 LPA. Around 50% of the students got the placements this year, 70% of the CS students got placed, 40% of the Mechanical Engineering Students got placed, 80% of the students in AI got placed. Most of the students availed the On-Campus placement opportunites and very few number of students at IITH availed the Off-Campus Placement offers. My plans after the degree would be to move abroad to do my Masters after I graduate from IIT Hyderabad
Campus Life :
We usually have 2 main fests by the name Milan and Elan n Vision, Milan is usually conducted in the month of November and Elan n Vision is conducted in the month of March. Also our libraries have various books and journals , for every department, you can find the necessary book/journal, IITH recently constructed a new library which got opened last week and it is really nice. The amenities availble in our classroom are a white board, green board, projector screen and a projector , The classes are also Air Conditioned. The sports and extracurricular facilities available are Table Tennis, Badminton, Swimming, Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Squash, BasketBall etc:- We also have a lot of clubs such as Infero( The Coding Club), Robotix( Robotics Club), A club for Cryptex etc:- The food quality is really nice, You get Dal, Roti, Rice, Vegetable Curry, Chicken(Paid), Paneer(Paid), Idly, Wada, Dosa. The hostel registration is automatically done by them when you join the institute.

From what I have experienced the college starts preparing us for placements much earlier than I expected. We regularly have coding practice, project work, resume reviews, aptitude sessions and mock interviews, so you are improving little by little instead of waiting for the final year. The college also shares internship and job opportunities with students. I feel the support is definitely there but your results depend on how much effort you put into building your skills.

Reasons I chose NIAT
Placement Experience :
Since I am still a student I haven't gone through the final placement season yet. But from what I have seen the college starts preparing us quite early. We have regular coding sessions, aptitude training, mock interviews and resume building workshops. The placement team also shared internship opportunities whenever they are available. I feel the college is more focused on making students job ready than waiting until the final year. If you stay consistent with your coding, projects and overall skills, you will be in a much better position when placement season starts. Overall I think the college provides good support, but students also need to put in their own effort.
College life beyond classroom

As a current student I haven't reached the final placement season yet but the college has already started preparing us. We get regular updates about internship opportunities, and many students apply from the early semester itself. Along with that there are sessions on resume writing, aptitude, communication skills and interview preparation. The college also encourages us to build projects and improve our technical skills, which helps while applying for internships. I feel these small efforts throughout the course will make a big difference when placements begun.
A great place to meet like minded people
Course Curriculum Overview :
One important thing I like about the course is that it isn't only about reading books and writing exams. We get to practice what we learn through coding, assignments, and small projects, which makes the subject easier to understand. The syllabus also covers topics that are useful for todays tech industry. The faculty is friendly and easy to talk to. They explain concepts in a simple way, clear doubts without any hesitation, and we are already ready to help if someone is struggling.
What it's really like studing at NIAT

Since our batch hasn't reached final placements yet, I can't talk about placement results. But the college has already started preparing us through coding pratice, resume building sessions, mock interviews, and career guidance. Internship opportunities are shared regularly, and students are encouraged to apply from the early semesters itself. I like that the focus in on building our skills first instead of waiting until the final year. I feel this preparation will really help us when placement season begins.
My experience at NIAT
Placement Experience :
NIAT is a relatively new institute the first batch hasn't graduated yet, so there isn't any official placement record available. However the college has done a good job of preparing students through practical learning, coding and real world projects. Many students have already secured internships from the first year itself which gives them valuable industry experience. Along with technical skills the college also provides guidance for resume building and interviews, making students feel more confident about future placement opportunities.
A Complete Review of JNTUH: Opportunities and Campus Life
Placement Experience :
Eligibility is that we must maintain atleast 60-70% aggregate overall without any active backlogs. Recruiters are Infosys, TCS, Wipro, AWS etc. Total no. of offers made: All branches combined get 700-1100+ offers. Highest package is 52 lpa offered by AWS, and average package is about 6 lpa. About 60% students get placements. After getting my degree, I intend to get a good job in campus placements in companies like AWS, and go towards VLSI field
