- The associated district hospital and its patient load.
- The well qualified and trained faculty members.
- Option of choosing your hostel best up on your budget which will also increase the facilities provided.
- The buildings are a little old but they are getting rebuilt as I as I write this review.
Dislikes
- The fees are not affordable to everyone but because this is a private college it is expected.
- You need to have a basic knowledge of the local language that is Kannada to communicate with the patients.
Remarks :
The most important factor was the establishment of this college which was year 1965. Older the medical college better it is. Better faculty. Better hospital. Better everything. The 2nd most important aspect was its attachment to the district government hospital. There is a nearby government hospital which is attached to this college. So during your clinical postings you will get posted in that hospital and you will have huge exposure to patients. Third most important factor was the city in in which the college is located .This place is very quiet and peaceful as I like.
Course Curriculum Overview :
This colleges affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of health sciences. So the fee is consistent in all such colleges which are affiliated to this university. All the faculties are obviously well qualified and the number of faculties very high. Each department has many faculties so that is not going to be an issue. The fees are a bit high for people coming from north India or from other states because they will get admitted on the basis of their NEET score. But for the people who belong to Karnataka the fees are not that much. All the exams are timely and all the staffs are strict in this regard.
Internships Opportunities :
Well because this is a medical college obviously you will have to do internship within the college hospital and associated hospitals. This is the best feature of the college. Even though it is a private college the attachment of the government hospital makes it unique in itself. It is a district hospital and the patient load is very high which will help you get exposed to lots of opportunities as well. If you will so interest you will learn lots of things and you will get to do lots of procedures as well.
Placement Experience :
Well it is a medical college so obviously the internship will be after your friends your 4.5 years of course. There will be one year of internship in which you will be posted in various departments in both the private hospital as well as the attached government hospital. After getting your MBBS degree it is your choice if you want to pursue MD or if you want to join any hospital.
Campus Life :
Well As I mentioned, this college is very old. There is no campus what so ever for this college. The college is spread throughout the city. Different parts of the college are in different parts of the city. They are not very far apart but there is no such designated area as a campus. Different hostels for boys and girls are in different areas. There are various options available depending up on your budget and they are all official hostels provided by the college. There is a college auditorium where various functions keeps getting organised all the time. You will have no complaints regarding that. There is a specific department dedicated to sports as well if you are interested in that and if you get time from your studies. The library is very big and it has all variety of books you will ever need in your medical career. There is also a separate study hall. The registration process is not very lengthy. Once you get the allotment of these college it will be all very quick.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement

Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
