- Large campus size. Good connectivity . Greenery all around the campus.
- Faculty and high patient load hospital is major advantage over other college. It is the oldest medical college of Uttarakhand

Remarks :
To get admission to MBBS, you have to qualify for a national-level examination called NEET. Through this exam to get selected in various medical colleges. GMC Hald is the oldest government medical college in Uttarakhand with a good reputation and notable alumni. It has a large campus size with an attached Shushila Tiwari hospital. Cutoff for Gmc Haldwani is about 615+ out of 720 for the state quota And about 640+ for all India quota
Course Curriculum Overview :
All the professors are Doctors themselves. They completed their MBBS, MD/MS, and super specialization. 4 exams are held each year. They are terminal 1 and 2, pre-university and University exams. Scholarships are provided for the reservation candidates by the government.
Placement Experience :
After 4.5 years you do an internship for 1 year in an attached hospital. The salary depends on what you are pursuing after MBBS. A non-g Jr gets about 65k-70k per month. Then residency starts for 3 years. Stipends increase every year.
Campus Life :
There are various clubs and sports facilities, a gym and a library. Fest also happens every year. Ample hostels and messes are there, separate for each year. The first year is given a separate hostel and mess. From 3rd year separate rooms for each student.

Placement Experience :
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.

the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
Underrated university for pursuing Management courses
Placement Experience :
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.

I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.

I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.

Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.

I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
