I chose the college through KCET an entrance exam in Karnataka for getting into engineering colleges. I got a rank of 33000 in KCET in the year 2020, and I have chosen MVJCE as one of my preference. The process was simple get a seat, pay the fee, provide the required documents and that's all. There were no interviews or any GDs.
I chose ECE as my major because of my interest in electronics and because my rank wasn't high enough to get into CSE. All faculty are either experienced or have a PHD as a qualification. The qualifications alone don't matter the teachers should also know how to pass their knowledge to students and few lack this quality. There were three internal exams and a sem-end exam, all the internal exams were evenly separated and were not very difficult just a night of preparation should be enough to pass. If admitted through Kcet then there mostly wouldn't be a fee hike the same fee you pay in the first year would continue for the remaining tenure. Students can also register for scholarships namely State Scholarship Program (SSP) and National Scholarship Program (NSP). SSP would provide around 18K. There are other scholarships such as labor card, and agricultural background.
I have done my internship at Adya Infotech on the topic of Network and Firewall Solutions. There was no stipend and was a free internship. Learned about Security systems their standards, routers, and switches. There weren't any specific projects.
There will be no internships provided by college, students have to get them themselves, coming to placements 5 out of 10 companies are not even related to the engineering field. Every student is eligible for placements but the companies would prefer no backlogs, a percentage greater than 80. A few companies visited are Nagra Vision, L&T Finance, Capgemini, and TCS. The highest package as of knowledge is 6LPA, average package is around 3LPA. 80% of the class is not placed yet. Thus I would like to get into an MBA for further studies.
Fests were conducted before 2020 after covid there have been no remarkable fests until now. There is Swayam a cultural fest in May 2024. The library is vast, you would get all the books needed for the course. Classrooms are neat, well-lit, and ventilated and have a smart board connection as well. Coming to sports there is a ground where cricket, volleyball can be played. There are many clubs to join for extracurricular activities like Toastmasters Club, GDSC, Rhagaabinaya, Dance clubs, etc. There are many PGs outside college but the hostel would cost more than the PGs but have better food than PGs.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
We do see companies and lot of posters inside campus of placements Cgpa with above 8 are dligible for placements here and usually 4th year students are eligible Student named abhinav choudry was offered 52LPA last year from AIML and by company called AMD And in 2020 someone got placed 45lpa from amazon 52lpa was the highest here And the average for my course is around 6-7 lpa Percentage of students getting placed is around 65-80% rest do degree or may not be placed My plan is do m tech after getting degree here
