- Placements is now in a downfall for now as there is a downfall in IT industry.
Remarks :
I wrote a entrance test for exam called GAT , where I got 3500 rank . You will be getting a scholarship if you get rank below 3000 . The college also takes the intake through JEE and EAMCET . I chose this college because of its placement history with great companies . The college focuses on both cultural and technical activities which helps students to give many options .
Course Curriculum Overview :
i chose CSE core as my undergraduate course in GITAM . The college follows relative grading method but has passing marks fixed like absolute grading which is 24 marks in internal out of 70 marks and 10marks in external out of 30 marks . The overall criteria to pass would be 35/100 . Faculty is great as they are from top IITs and NITs . Fees is a bit costly but if you study well and keep the GPA above 8.0 , you will get a scholarship.
Internships Opportunities :
As I am in second year still I have not been provided internships from college but internships are allocated in third year with HoD recommendations or faculty recommendations . Doing a internship is always a plus point for the students
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for placements would be above 8CGPA . The top recruiters are Tiger Analytics , Deloitte , Keka , Accolite , TCS Digital , Optum and many others . Highest package was INR 32LPA , and average package og INR 4.5LPA .
Campus Life :
College life will be amazing it GITAM as it gives many options to students to explore . It has clubs for everything from cultural activities to technical activities . There is club called VDC which helps students to start a a business and startups , even tries to give fundings if the idea is great . Sports is very good , there all all types of main sports with regular tournaments . Hostel food is great as I have tasted many colleges hostel food , even IITs food but i genuinely feel that GITAMs hostel is food is best .

But the college starts preparing us early with coding practice, projects, aptitude training, resume building sessions, and mock interviews. FRom interacting with seniors, I have heard that students who stay consistent with their skills get good opportunities

From what I have experienced the college starts preparing us for placements much earlier than I expected. We regularly have coding practice, project work, resume reviews, aptitude sessions and mock interviews, so you are improving little by little instead of waiting for the final year. The college also shares internship and job opportunities with students. I feel the support is definitely there but your results depend on how much effort you put into building your skills.

As a current student I haven't reached the final placement season yet but the college has already started preparing us. We get regular updates about internship opportunities, and many students apply from the early semester itself. Along with that there are sessions on resume writing, aptitude, communication skills and interview preparation. The college also encourages us to build projects and improve our technical skills, which helps while applying for internships. I feel these small efforts throughout the course will make a big difference when placements begun.
