- Provides good facilities in this range of fees. Doesn't changes the fees afterwards which can be found in many other colleges.
- Faculties of this college are friendly with students and have pretty good knowledge and experience
Dislikes
- I personally dislike the campus of this college which has a very basic look.
- Has less shops around the college which is important for students to buy their needs.
Remarks :
Main reason to choose this college was less fees compared to other colleges which were providing the same facility. The main bad aspect of this college is unattractive campus. Other than that for education purpose this college provides good facilities in this fees range.
Course Curriculum Overview :
In post covid time IT field got it's rapid growth of the century. Because of this growth Data science specialist got many options in the field. Every field requires data science whether it is medical, agriculture, goverment wherever data handling and manipulation plays big role. Because of these developments I choose this course particularly. Faculty of this college are pretty good and have good experience. Yeah some faculties are exceptions.Overall faculty department is good. Alvas college is very strict about internal and external exams. Faculties also sincerely evaluate without any discrimination. College helps us to claim any government or non government scholarship. Some of the government scholarship are SSP and NSP which helps students economically.
Placement Experience :
Every student is eligible to apply their resume to the on campus selection. It's upto companies to set the criteria. Companies more often set their minimum criteria around 5-6 CGPA. For better packages 8+ CGPA is recommended. Amazon was the main recruiter in recent times which offered a 20 Lpa package. Some other main recruiter are Mitsubishi, Medpac,Nandi Toyota etc Highest package was 20 Lpa which was offered by Amazon In this college students get a package of average 2-3lpa. This average is pretty good since percentage of students getting placement is more than 80%. My plans after getting degree is to look for a job off campus while trying on campus placement. So I can get more offers and will have more options of companies and offers to select.
Campus Life :
In Alva's engineering college fests are pretty rare but the main campus of Alva's Foundation which is located in Vidyagiri, Moodabidri conducts fests more often. One of the biggest event is Virasat where the local traditional activities are shown and celebrated. AIET Library,Mijar which is the Main library of Engineering college contains more than 20000 books. We can find books of each and every subjects of Engineering and MBA. This library allows students to use books in Library itself and also allows to borrow for certain time. Sports has less importance since curriculum activities are given more priority. But still college conducts sports activity once or twice a year. College also supports students to participate in University sports meeting. Alvas Engineering college has more than 10 clubs which allows students to interact with eachother as well as with faculty. Some of the clubs are Tulu sangha, Kannada sangha, Coding clubs etc Hostel provides good facilities and food.

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

Eligibility for the placements is 7+ cgpa if you have higher cgpa higher the chances of you getting shortlisted for the interview and it will be easy for you Recuriters visited Cisco,Visa,Emerson,NetApp and many more for the internships and full time Highest package is 56 LPA and average package will be around 10 LPA for the computer science and Engineering for other branches it may vary
