Good college with bad infrastructure, aminities and decent placements.

- Campus life is good as we get a chance to meet so many students from different states.
- Placements is also decent but not for year 2024.
Dislikes
- There is no proper cricket ground, everyone plays cricket in the same basketball ground.
- Infrastructure is also bad there is not much classrooms for each department. Each floor is dedicated to each department and there is no individual building for each department.
Remarks :
As I was from outside Karnataka, so I had to sit for the COMEDK examination which is conducted once per year. And if the student is from Karnataka itself, he/she can take admission through KCET and as well as COMEDK. After the result, the students sit for a counseling process and they get into college in Karnataka based on their COMEDK or KCET rank. This DSATM campus is a second campus of DSCE college which is the main campus and the campus placement of the DSATM campus is done in the main DSCE campus itself. The DSCE is one of the top colleges in Karnataka so placement and exposure are good for the DSCE campus but for the DSATM campus even though the placements are done in the DSCE campus the placements and exposure for DSATM are not that much good as that of DSCE.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course and college based on my rank and placements. The faculties are supportive but not that well trained. The students have to prepare by themselves to stand out of the crowd. There are three internal examinations and 1 final semester exam is conducted per semester and the difficulty level is easy to medium. The college is increasing its fees every year. The Karnataka students can take scholarships based on their annual income and category.
Internships Opportunities :
The college doesn't provide any internship opportunities. The students have to find internships on their own. The college takes money and gives you an internship certificate which has no value. So, it's better to take an internship off campus.
Placement Experience :
The placements are good but not great as compared to the main DSCE campus but good companies visit this college and offer good packages also. The average package for the DSATM campus would be 4.5 to 5 lpa and the highest package would be around 27 lpa. The percentage of placements in DSATM is around 90% but for this 2024 year, it's 40%.
Campus Life :
The fest's name is ANTARAGINI and it is being conducted in May or June. The library is good as one can find all the books related to their course but the private study room is quite small inside the library. There is only one basketball court where the students play all the sports including cricket, volleyball, etc. and there is also one badminton court, squash court, and a gym. There are a lot of clubs including coding, dancing, singing, debating, etc. There are two hostels and in each room, they allocate 3 students and the food here is tasteless. And the hostel fee is very expensive and even after that, they don't provide you with that many facilities.

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement

Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
