Distance degree gives plenty time to pursue other courses or even do a job. Negative aspect is that there is loss of studies no faculty support and exams are very rigorous. If a person is already doing a job or wants two degrees then he or she can ppt for distance degrees otherwise if someone wants to enjoy college life then distance education is not a good option.
I choose this course as my percentile in 12 was not very good and I was not aware of good colleges my parents were not ready to enroll me in private colleges. Since I was doing distance education classes were hardly held so it was difficult to know the qualification of faculty. Term end exams were usually delayed and cause great problem for students as they were not able to pursue further things due to delay in exams especially final year students. Fees was very minimal as there were no regular classes.
No internship was provided in distance education. But we can look for interships from our side and even do job because there are no regular classes and only during exam time and if there is practical subjects in the course then only we need to visit the centre
For placement students need to complete all the courses to be eligible. Then after the successful completion mail is dropped regarding placement but no good companies come for placement. If students want to participate in placement then need to read the mail thoroughly and visit the mentioned place where companies will come. Package is not very high and starts from 1-2lpa till 3 lpa.
In the distance education there is no fest no functions held in college. Any government college is alloted to the students nearby to their location. Books are available easily but long lines were there in the study centre and regional centre where books were given and it is not a good experience. In distance education there is no hostel facility students can do it from their home and only need to come to exam centre during exam time.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
