BMCC is known to be the best commerce college in Pune. After a detailed discussion with past students of this college and their positive reviews, I decided to choose this college. The admission process for BCom is pretty simple. It is completely based on the percentage of 12th std. The final merit list for FY BCom usually closes around 90%. Other courses such as BBA, BBA-IB, BBA-Marketing, etc. have an entrance exam.
I am pursuing a professional course simultaneously and to accompany any bachelor's degree with it, I found out BCom to be the best. The faculty for BCom is quite good than other colleges. Every faculty have completed their master's or PhD in the relevant subjects. Their teaching method is also better and more understandable. Regular lectures, discussions in classrooms, providing detailed notes, etc. everything is practiced by faculty very effectively. Term exams are always carried out from time to time and the difficulty level of the exams is also moderate which helps students to check their knowledge. To my knowledge, BMCC does not have any fee hikes. Fees for BCom are very minimal and that's why the overall cost to study is very low. Scholarships are also provided for some particular category or class of students or on a merit basis.
The placement cell of the college also carries outs internship drives in collaboration with various companies and financial institutions. It helps students to grab in hand experience in their desired field which later helps to grab a good package in the campus placements.
The placement cell of the college is very active and helpful. Companies such as Goldman Sachs, HSBC, TCS, Cognizant, Capgemini, Infosys, Delloite, E&Y, KPMG, and many more recruit students from this college, and the whole process is flawlessly carried out by the placement cell of the college. The percentage of students selected during campus interviews by different employers is very high, as only scrutinized students are allowed to appear for the final interview.
The best thing about BMCC is their cultural events and fests. Astitva is the biggest heritage event organized by the Heritage Collective department of the college in September. Many more such events take place around the year. The library of the college is huge and contains thousands of academic and other books. Classrooms are well-ventilated with digital boards in them. The Gymkhana dept organizes all the sports events in the college. Various competitions such as cricket, basketball, football, etc. are held in the college. The college has various other clubs such as Nature's Club, NSS, Cultural dept, Finance Club, etc. These clubs keep the spark alive in the students of the college. The college has its hostel on the college campus. Food quality is quite good and there is a different menu every day. The hostel is also allotted based on merit and is completely affordable. Currently, it is under renovation. You can find flats or PGs in the nearby areas.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
