Likes
- I like our hostels as they are really good .
- I like the experienced faculty of the college which are able to teach tough concepts.
Dislikes
- We do not have a permanent campus yet and so we miss campus life and I don't like it.
- I also don't like the gender ratio in the college its very bad around 15 boys to 1 girl.
Remarks :
I took admission in IIPE because I cleared JEE advanced but didn't score enough marks to get into a good IIT, and also this is the only central government college for the energy sector hence I took admission here. I was very much interested in green energy as a sector hence it was a good choice for me. After all the college is average when it comes to placements but placements are very much dependent on the market conditions if I talk about an idle situation around 97% of students got placed in 2023 and most students go for core companies around 80%. One thing I didn't liked about this college is that it is in the very early stages of establishment and doesn't even have its permanent campus right now but we will shift to a permanent campus nest year.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Well if you are taking a new branch here like mechanical then the syllabus is not entirely finalized now and they are bringing changes and it is more to align with mechanical used in the oil and gas industry. Most of the faculties have done their PhDs from IIT's, or IISC, or have done a joint PhD with some foreign countries. Some faculties are very friendly but some are a bit serious or very strictly rules-oriented but overall faculties are ok. Term exams are always timely but this year our end sem happened around 1 month early because of the elections as we are on temporary campus. Exams are pretty much from what is taught in the class if someone is paying attention to what is being taught then he/she will be able to score above 8.5 cgpa easily. If you are from ews or OBC category and your family income is below 5 lakhs per annum then 50% of your tuition fees will be waived off and if your family income is below 1 lakh per annum then 100% of your tuition fees will be waived off.
Internships Opportunities :
I haven't opted for any internships yet but seniors do, Many petroleum students did their internships in ONGC and chemical students did their internships in HPCL or iocl. The internships in Psu's were unpaid.
Placement Experience :
There is no bar on who can sit for placements but individual companies do have one as the PSU's usually set around 8 or 8.5 cgpa to sit in their placements. Many companies visited the college such as Adani Gas, Quantiphi, HPCL, IOCL, HPCL Rajasthan, HLS Asia, Jio BP, etc. The highest package is around 22 lpa given by Halliburton and the lowest is given by India cement of around 4.2 lpa. Around 80% of students have placed yet. I would also like to get a good placement from the college in some PSU or some good private company with a good package.
Campus Life :
Our annual techno cult fest Shaswat is conducted around mid-October. We do enjoy a lot in the fest this olly esse came to the college. The library is small but expanding its collection rapidly and still, you can get any book you need related to the energy industry. Our classrooms are air-conditioned with projectors and very good cleanliness as well. we have our sports fest in the start of October usually and it goes for around a week and you can participate in a lot many games in it with prizes as well. We also have IIPE-PL which is a cricket premiere league and we booked an entire stadium to conduct this league and its very enjoyable. We have many clubs for coding, dancing, and cultural and social welfare as well. Our hostels I can say are one of the best as we have private bathrooms, some rooms have a balcony and we also have kind of a living room where sofas are there and we can sit there and chill with friends. Mess food is not so good but it's ok. We have a mixed menu of south and north combined.

Those students who are in 5th semister are eligible for campus placements. Around 70-80% students are placed every year in top reputed companies with decent salary. I received placement offer from TCS . That was because of placement cell of Ashoka.

The campus placement is really good . Most of the students get placed in small or big company at last the moto is to have a job not focusing on salary where the salary does not matter. above 75% is the eligibility to sit in the campus placement drive if the company give their eligibility criteria or else no.

Considering current job market the Placements and job opportunities are satisfactory with mass hiring companies such as Accenture, Infosys and Capgemini being the highest bulk recruiting service based companies where 20-30 students get placed out of a class of strength 70, students are asked to register in their Third year for placements , The eligibility criteria is to not have any active backlogs and ready with structured resume though students are filtered with their CGPA , they will be rounds of aptitude and problem solving and having good DSA background will help a lot . The Highest packages is from Infosys which give 16+ LPA to students with advanced DSA knowledge but majority are placed between 4.5 - 6 LPA . Many students opt for higher studies by preparing for competitive exams or use their strong alumni network to get referrals are big Tech companies.

The average annual hostel fee is around Rs. 48,000 per student (or roughly Rs. 3,000 - 4,000 per month.The campus offers separate hostels for boys and girls with furnished rooms. Students note that the rooms are kept tidy, well-lit, and offer options for both single and shared occupancy.

In my college,the highest package is 35lpa and lowest package is 2lpa. Many companies was visited to my college for placement like tech Mahindra, Infosys, auto desk. Coming to the placements, their was many competition to get the offer.

Students with cgpa greater than 9 are considered first for placements indirectly. They will get more companies. And there will be bulk hiring for most of the students. TCS , Cognizant etc will come . And I feel the placement training team CRCS will train the students mainly competitive programming . Because they focus more on this .Also they will teach you each and everything ranging from how to write the recruitment exam to how to attend the HR interview. Even if you want to go for higher studies, they will guide you through it. The average package is around 10 LPA. And the highest is 50 LPA. Most of the students are placed through the University placements itself.

Students generally are eligible for placements after completion of 3rd year. Top companies like amazon, Accenture, Infosys, paypal, TCS, etc offered placements last year with offers in range of 5-15 . Highest package is 44 LPA and average package is 9 LPA. Percentage of students placed is in the range of 70%-80%. I am planning to prepare for Bank exams after completion of graduation.
