Things I liked, Firstly I liked the lush green campus of 28 acres. Next were the sports facilities offered on the campus Things I did not like, some faculty are rude and some are good location for day scholars is a bit far from the city The admission process was pretty crisp and clear I got admission in the 3rd round of KCET and the cutoff was high these rounds need not be prepared and they'll provide all assistance it was good that they had a separate admission faculty for clearing the admission related issues
I had an interest in mechanical engineering so I chose this field all the faculty are well trained and all doctorate holders with Phd degrees everyone has a clear mind of what they're teaching and they will teach in a very student-friendly manner in clearing all doubts. Usually term exams happen when the semester comes to an end and there will be two internals for each semester and semester-end exam and the difficulty level is pretty much moderate. There won't be a fee hike policy In the yearly fee that we are paying but there might be some development fees or exam fees coming up in the middle of the course. Reservation students in Karnataka have SSP scholarships which can provide financial assistance up to some level.
As I'm in the first year there were no internship opportunities offered to us but I saw some of my seniors getting placed into companies like ANZ for internships and now they are doing great when it comes to projects we need to focus on our skills and develop them.
The eligibility criteria for placement is minimum you need to have seven CGPA and some of the visited recruiters are mainly IBM, Cognizant, L&T and many other big companies some Of them offered high packages of 30,00,000 and an average of 7 LPA. As for mechanical engineering, the highest package was around 14 lakhs and the minimum package was around 4 LPA. Most of the students get placed in In college around 85 to 90% In all courses. I'm looking to go abroad to do my MS in mechanical engineering.
Social life can be maintained well at the campus as it conducts fests at pretty good intervals of the year there are three fests held on the campus namely, The main one Utsava Vaibhava, tech fest Tech Transform and the hostel fest which is named Kalarava. The library is top-notch with with almost all books available related to the course and other research-related fields also and the amenities in the classrooms include a Projector, a blackboard, a podium and a couple of fans and tubelights.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
